Just got a set from you for my hero 4 can't wait to use during one of my fishing sojourns when the ice finally melts sometime this year:-) my eye sight is horrible but a polarized lens is what the doctor ordered for penetrating the water's surface.

Hey Mitch quick question, You recommend not to use the O-ring for underwater use. But then you said the magenta filter uses the thin O-ring. Isn't the magenta filter for water? Should I put the O-ring on?

@MicBergsma10 жыл бұрын
Connor McLaine O-ring for surfing / bodysurfing, gopro will get in and out of the water often, you don't want to get water spot in between two lens... o-ring keep it out. When you go underwater like scuba diving... best not to use o-ring

is there any use for the blurfix outside of water? does it make video quality any better, or is this solely a water accessory?

I'm a little confused about the blurfix. Does it have some kind of lens? how does it correct underwater bluriness?
@ephi037910 жыл бұрын
The blurfix is just a name of the adapter by Snake River Prototyping, or, SRP. The blurfix 3+ is the adapter that goes on the Gopro 3+ case. You would use different lenses (polarizing, SWCY, etc) on the blurfix for different applications. Hope this helps.

PolarPro filters vs SRP? i know the SRP should obviously be better since it costs way more but is it that big of a performace diffrence? Im interessted in the Magenta Filter & the Polarizer? would really appreciate some help on that since it's really giving me a hard time to decide since i didnt find a head to head comparison~:S

Just found your channel a few days ago after getting the Hero entry level gopro, it's been a massive help. I'm confused by what filter size the BlurFix3+ 55 adapter takes? I thought 55mm but all the filters I'm seeing on amazon seem to be 52mm or 58mm. Do you ship to the UK? If so do you know the shipping costs etc.? I'd prefer to buy from you to show support for your awesome videos.
@MicBergsma9 жыл бұрын
+cabelas1987 Hey congrats on your new camera! Blurfix3+ 55 use 55mm filters. Be careful about filters on amazon, they are poor quality. I sell the top filters in my store. Yes we ship to UK, you will see the shipping cost in checkout.

hello! I have a doubt about the blurfix3+ to standard housing. I will hope that you understand me, although my english isnt't very good, sorry for that. Thank for your attention.

I'm a little confused about the whole dry/wet filter, why would you want water between the case and the filter? And also, if you do keep the o-ring in, to make it a dry filter, does the filter start to mist up?
@scottyoung00111 жыл бұрын
I think you might have answered your own question. --- The purpose for the DRY filter (when you have the O-ring in) is so that you don't have any water droplets get on the INSIDE of the the filter. --- The purpose for the WET filter is so that you don't have any fog or even possibility for reflection of the lens on the filter. I would love to get the blurfix 3+! The only thing thats holding me back is you can not use the LCD backpack with the HERO3+ case :( Mitch what would you do in my position? Since you've used them both. Should I go with the BlurFix 3+ and lose the LCD backpack feature or just go with the BlurFix 3.
@ephi037910 жыл бұрын
Scott Young You can go with the Blurfix 3 SO, which is compatible with the LCD backpack case. (The older Gopro 3 case). The lenses will still work with this adapter AND the Blurfix 3+

Well it depends on what are you trying to the film and the conditions as far as weather. I personally use the 1080hd with 60fps and Protune because it allows me to get into more depth editing afterwards but it takes more time.

Can someone PLEASE explain me what are this filters for?
I would think the dry filter if it is being splashed with water. However if you're sailing isn't that intense then maybe a polarizing filter to deal with the bright sun and get some interesting footage. Hope this helps.
