A bit off topic, but I just wanted to say that I'll be getting my first dog (Boston terrier) next year, and since I'll be a first time dog owner I have no clue what to do training wise so am inhaling dog trainer videos to prepare. Your videos have helped me to know what to expect and react accordingly as well as appropriately from day 1. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm excited to as well. Keep up the good work, and thank you!

Love seeing training happening through play. What is the white container you are using for the Place?

@ thanks Larry, at first glance I thought it was a laundry basket, but thought that wouldn’t be sturdy enough. I like seeing trainers use items they already have.

I could watch you work dogs all day. Unfortunately, I can't apply what you're demonstrating. After a year, my GSD adoptee still does not play. The only time she is happy, and obviously proud of herself is when she is aloud to constantly bark, and chase away threats, real, and perceived. No history about this dog. I get the feeling though that all she was used for was guarding. We practice obedience. She's not a motivated dog. When she reacts, even when I have her leashed (which is often, so I can attempt to keep her from practicing this behavior), there is no off switch. Leash pops, loud noises, etc, do not snap her out of it. She will not snap out of it until the threat is gone.
