@@sjmsutherland Thank you so much Samantha ❤️ you rock too!! I agree, I think it's important to share this stuff so others don't feel so alone if they're suffering too. I hope your flare lifts soon (although I'm flaring majorly right now too - have you heard of the October slide?!) and you enjoy the rest of your week too xx

This was really interesting. You explained it really well. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this but glad you’ve been able to adapt and find a way to live with it. It had to have been frustrating trying to find out exactly what was causing you difficulties and what could help you.

Thank you for explaining, I think it's important to understand things like this that affect others. Thank goodness for ereaders and audiobooks, so you can continue your loves of books 😊

@@emmastinylibrary thank you for watching! ❤️ I agree, if it weren't for audiobooks I would hardly be able to enjoy any books any more! I can read on my kindle sometimes, but often go many weeks unable to, so audiobooks are a god send.

It’s crazy how much we put down to anxiety that actually isn’t, isn’t it! 💕
@katherine_and_catsАй бұрын
Seriously!! Every single thing I've had wrong with me was put down to anxiety initally (including a doctor telling me my urinary issues were a case of "mind over matter" but I ended up having a grapefruit sized tumour squashing my bladder LOL)
@georginareads3969Ай бұрын
@@katherine_and_cats holy crap, Katherine!! Hope you’re doing better with that side of things now! I had a grapefruit sized tumour in my neck so complained of a ‘muscular feeling sore neck’ & was told I was imagining that too until some of my viewers pointed it out in a video as it was very visible by the time it was taken seriously 😅 the gp also refused to see me in case it was Covid….😫 I had no cold or flu symptoms just the grapefruit sized tumour in my neck 😅 x

@@georginareads3969 thankfully I am! I had surgery to have it removed and a lifetime of bladder and bowel issues cleared up overnight! Unfortunately though the surgery is what triggered POTS and stuff for me, so it was bittersweet lol Yikes that's crazy! Yours was thyroid tumour? Are you on thyroid meds now then, or do you still have a thyroid?

Hi Katherine, thank you for this video! If you want to chat I was also born with strabismus. I developed double vision after a surgery earlier this year (having not had double vision before - I was suppressing). My experience is very similar to yours! It would be great to hear from you, as I know it's quite rare!

@@katherine_and_cats I don't think it's possible to DM on KZbin otherwise I would! Do you have an email and I'll drop you my number? I am not yet using a bangerter filter but I have an orthoptics appointment in a little under 2 weeks to discuss options

@@katherine_and_cats okay I keep trying to reply and my comments are getting deleted I think because I'm trying to post contact details 😂 I've got an orthoptics appointment soon to try and go through options because I've not got a bangerter filter yet, I'm just in that weird superimposition phase! It's so hard to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it

If you're able to drop your email (maybe your KZbin one) in the chat we can try that!

Hey sorry for the delay! I haven't been feeling well the past couple of days. I've added my youtube email address to the 'about' section on my channel as it won't let me post it in comments

🖤💚 Thank you for this explanation. Our brains and bodys are a complete wonder so fascinating. We as humans never really appreciate it until we cant use something you've always been able too. Have you tried a dark eye patch to help you cut some of the light on street post or to help you read? The reason i ask is because i had a uncle with some similar and he use to wear a patch on his eye to help when reading. Even though he had 1 semi good eye and blind in the other he was able to run his fast food restaurant for many years until one day he just couldn't see properly anymore. 🖤💚

Thank you for watching and for your kind words. I have tried a dark patch but I find the opaque lens easier to deal with, as dark feels even more jarring to me unfortunately.
@wendyvilla290412 күн бұрын
@katherine_and_cats you're welcome i love your videos. What about sticking a piece of white cardboard paper on the side and top of your lens? That might help as well.
