This doesn’t make any sense because nature chakra is an entirely different set of chakra than normal chakra. It was even drawn in panel and explained that way in the manga. It literally only requires chakra control to a high extent because like I just said the chakra is unlike regular chakra and when it runs rampant it can turn you into respective animal (i.e naruto and jiraiya turning into frogs slightly during its use)

I think Hashirama learned Sage Mode from Katsuyu. I mean, there are only 3 sage regions: Mount Myoboku (toads), Ryuchi Cave (snakes), and Shikkotsu Forest (slug/Katsuyu). Each sage mode has distinct appearances ex. Toad eyes for toad sage, snakelike eye/face markings for snake sage. Since Hashirama's sage markings doesn't look like the other two plus the fact that Tsunade can summon Katsuyu, I think the Senju has a history with Shikkotsu Forest. This doesn't mean though that Tsunade has sage mode since she doesn't have sage markings and only uses Katsuyu for her healing mark.

4:23 the difficulty isnt just the place to Find, the real question is, if your Body is capable to learn it. Not everyone will be capable to learn and and Master Sage mode. You will need a Strong Body and Large Chakra level to be able to balance your and Nature Chakra together. If Nature Chakra overboard in your Body, and exceeds your Own Chakra, you turn into a Animal or into Stone.

Another point I think is interesting is that it is never stated where Hashirama learned his sage mode from. It can be suggested that he learned from frog sages, although there is no evidence. Some people believe either he taught to himself or learned from another animal (possibly slug sages due to Tsunadaes connection to Katsyu). Some evidence to show how unlikely it is that he learned from Frog sages is that he doesn't have to be still to activate it and it seems to enhance specifically just his wood style techniques.

I think it's a self-learned technique. As far as we know, he doesn't have any animal summons, so I think he learned it through Mokuton, adn as such, since he's the master mokuton user, he doesn't need to stay still to use his. I never set out to make where he learned sage mode to be some elaborate mystery. I even stated that it is possible that he learned it from the Slugs because Tsunade's connection to them. You're trying to make it seem like it was so simple and so obvious, but you forget that every time we've seen a sage user (besides Minato) it is shown that the person has a connection with the animal they are training with, as is with the case with Jiraiya and Naruto with frogs, and indirectly Kabuto with snakes. Hashirama is never seen with slugs so why would that be an obvious answer? It's totally likely that he taught it to himself because he was a genius and plus his apparently strong lineage to the So6p could possibly allow him to naturally acquire sage mode. Well keep in mind Naruto isn't like someone like Goku. He doesn't start out small. If he knows you're a threat, he's going to use the best mode for the job. Six Paths sage mode is stronger than regular sage mode, and has no time delay to enter. Easy choice when you're up against some unknown enemy that could do literally anything, PLUS your kids are in direct danger. That's one of my favorite things about Naruto. He's not an irresponsible saiyan dickhead.

I love how kishi forgot about the ma and pa toad sages in the war arc for plot purposes....I thought their genjutsu frog song was op...it would have helped in the fight vs obito...they got pain with it...and now that naruto is one with kurama, you would think the toads would be able to stay on his shoulders and sink with him like they did with jiraya and thus gather nature energy for naruto forever........right...gathering nature energy means you would never run out...there may be a limit to how much your body can store but you can always replenish and man naruto should have used shadow clones to store nature energy for him before his fight with tobi during the war...then when he needed sage chakra he could have them be transported..instead he gets frozen when the ten tails attacks and because of kishi's mistake neji dies...it was so avoidable...

If it ever get brought up, I hope Slug Sage Mode’s unique Senjutsu Technique is a Sage art Genjutsu technique, if only to complete the trio of Jutsu Techniques. The Frogs have “Frog Kata”: a Sage Taijutsu Technique The Snakes have “Inorganic Animation”: a Sage Ninjutsu Technique. And the Slugs would have some form of Sage Genjutsu Technique. Although that’s only if we get anything on it. It would most likely have to be done with Katsuyu, so far leaving the only candidates being Tsunade and Sakura, and Kishimoto seems to let them just be peaked with their forehead diamond and not develop them further at all, so Slug Sage Mode will probably always be hypothetical.
