Yes, I can appreciate and love her music, respect her amazing absolute talent, and yes, her music is very very personal to me, but do I love *her*? No, I've never met her. I've never even spoken to her on the phone. How can I say I love someone I don't truly know? And then when they possibly do something controversial, I could actually get offended? I mean, what's it to them? They don't even know me and I don't know them- why should I get hurt and angry? I forgot the artist's name but he pointed this out too. With my ex I was pressured over 6 month by my "friends" to say yes to a relationship and he didn’t take no for an answer. Turns out he was a narcissist (who abused me in every way) and my friends didn’t want to have me as competition. NEVER EVER EVER let someone pressure you into something you don’t want. Find new friends and don’t look back. No one would do that to a real friend since they should want to see you happy to and wouldn’t like if someone doesn’t take no for an answer. Edit: the relationship lasted for 2 years, I was never happy or in love but I played the part. My real friends saw how bad it was and told me to break up. Now I am happier than ever with my bf and still very in love after 10 month! I didn’t even think it was possible. :)

I'm definitely a swiftie (ben don't block me 😔) but I don't think people understand how much artists NEED to be number one after being on the top before. Take Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, their albums are consistently on top, which is why they're some of the first female pop artists to come to mind. As a Billie fan I disagree. Sure, being number one leads to more acclaim, but it is not necessary to success or relevancy. Plenty of great artists never hit number one, and when a really popular artist doesn’t hit number one it doesn’t decrease their relevance. People aren’t going to go “Oh Taylor’s album is the one that was number one, it’s the only one I should try listening to”. Billie will be successful regardless-she’s already gone from number 22 on Spotify to number 6 since the release of this album, and it’s been a record breaking debut for her. If this was true Indie and less mainstream artists would have no relevancy or success, which isn’t true at all.

Okay i'm a k-pop stan right, I was also kind of shocked when Taylor had released midnights and it had 4 vinyl & cd variants- but also I wasn't because in k-pop thats so normal for groups to have more than one version of an album, but the thing is it actually makes it worth it, you get a photobook(s), photocard(s), postcard(s), poster(s), and so many other things that makes buying multiple versions seem okay, but having multiple versions of just a vinyl where it's just a different cover and pressing doesn't seem worth it.

I agree with Billie on how we need to cut down on the amount of versions artists are producing (and how many are being produced) because most of the time, the vinyls/cds will sit on store shelves for years at a time and will never be bought because of the overproduction of things. I wish more labels make a certain amount and only have those until they sell out- they can then proceed to make more if they wish to.

The eras tour is more than a concert it’s a full on musical performance and experience with traditions and visuals. It’s not just Taylor singing for 3 hours straight. Billie’s style is wayyyy different and she might prefer the vocals and instruments to take more effect and effort than the visuals and dancers. I know for a fact even someone who isn’t a swiftie can enjoy the eras tour for what it is even if you don’t know any songs or like any of the songs. Billie’s concerts focus more on the music itself and that’s okay for her.

My opinion on multiple version of an album: Honestly, as a K-POP stan, I'm definetly exposed to the multiple version of albums being sold, and that many K-POP fans tend to throw out the CDs, which affects the environment a lot. It's why I have not only made sure not to buy more than 1 version of an album, but I also bought a CD player to put my CDs to use! This has also led me to listen to buy more CDs as I enjoy truly feeling like I own a physical copy of it rather than feeling like one day, an artist or a government could delete a song, an album, or discontinue streaming in general. *To be quite honest, I do find the multiple versions wasteful in K-POP, but I'm aware that the availability of options for the vibe of the photocards, posters, book full of the photoshoots, stickers and CD decor itself can be nice to a certain point. I'm not really for it normally, but I guess I understand the existence of different album versions in terms of K-POP.* *In more western albums though? Stop putting out 20 f-cking albums! There is much less reason for the existence of other version since they don't normally come with anything other than just the CD/Vinyl itself, and it's just stupid. I think that the maximum amount of albums that should be allowed in the western music world is two. One for the original, slightly cheaper album. The second could be a slightly pricier expansion with many live songs/new songs.*
