I'm a christian and I agree, there are so many toxic churches nowadays its hard to find a good one. My older sister was constantly belittled by her really strict christian friends that said her wearing pants to church was a sin, it's what made her stop being a christian and it also made her really stressed, my mum was also a bit bullied in church.. I find it so dumb how some Christian people say love your neighbor, then are transphobic, homophobic, and whatever else, and then get upset that Christianity is 'over-hated' or whatever someone might call it. The majority of beliefs centered around being Christian are awesome, and so are a lot of Christian people, but the ones who are assholes ruin it for the rest of the group, which is honestly sad, because when you find Christians who truly follow the beliefs Christianity is based around, they are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. I feel guilty sticking with Christianity ,however, because I know that there are a lot of bad Christians that don't follow teachings about love and I know that they've taken the Bible and weaponised it. Never in my life have I thought that other queer people or just non-believers who have had bad experiences with Christianity need to forgive Christians. That's your personal experience and I respect your decision. I've honestly always respected other people's beliefs. I just want help but I don't know who to go to or whether I'd be accepted(sounds silly and I don't think it was the right word choice but I don't what word I should use). I’m going to share my own story similar to that olyimpian, so I was born a male and am not trans but I look like a girl to a lot of people and I have long hair, this kid and his group of friends in one of my old classes thought I was trans because of that. They thought I was a girl and when I told them I’m a boy they were like “oh so your trans” and then they started being transphobic to me EVEN.THOUGH.I’M.NOT.TRANS like bruh I don’t know why they just absolutely refuse to believe I’m a biological boy.

as someone who is legit trans, my old “friend” who’s transphobia (she says she asexual but is transphobic.
