Excellent video, thank you for taking the time to make it. Question: you mentioned in another video wanting to do Equipping Minds with your daughter. I am beyond fascinated with Carol Brown’s method. Have you looked into using UA funds to cover this curriculum? Do you know anything about it from a UA standpoint? I know they have their monthly no interest plan which is amazing. I was also curious, what type of service would this be considered in UA being that they are so dynamic in their “curriculum?” They even have their music therapy program so would that mean filling out the music lessons form? Side note: One thing my husband and I have done to take the stress out of reimbursements is to create a separate checking account that we add to monthly (it’s not much but it’s separate money from bills and living expenses). With the panic last year of delayed funds and denials, we thought it best to prepare for this year and have that to use so we don’t have to have fear of lack of funds. It has removed a lot of stress from us. Again thank you. We are praying for you too ❤️

The fact that any money left over rolls over into the next year. UA money can also go into a 529 college plan!

Ty! I'm still waiting to be funded, they told me between August 1st and 15th. I'm hoping I can start shopping Thursday cause my daughter desperately needs some work to do!!! I also didn't know they funded quarterly, that may put a damper on some plans I had, but either way things will work out!

Thank you for your informative video! We have pep currently. 2 of my kids I might possibly switch to UA for speech therapy. Any insights on that process? 🤪 Also, can I put them in an umbrella school if they are accepted into UA?

So we did this with one of my kids. Basically during the application period you would just apply for the UA instead of the PEP.

I have two big huge questions right now and I'm pretty much I wouldn't say drowning but something like that lol 1) Does the PEP for sure cover SAT prep? 2) Does the PEP for sure cover Liberty Online and/or Liberty Dual Enrollment? I really hope you can help me and disregard, but if not thank you anyway!

It should at the least cover SAT prep course. Not sure about Liberty online duel enrollment. We haven’t tried that. Let me know if you find out.

Hi! Thank you for the video. While searching on how to transfer from a private school to PEP, I encountered your channel. My question is, may I transfer my daughter from a private school to PEP by the beginning of 2025 or must I wait till the end of the school year? I couldn't find any answer in the scholarship student handbook. If you can please guide me, I'd really appreciate it. In the meantime I'll look into the Home Education Foundation website. Thank you

I’m confused. My daughter was in public school I sent letter of intent to withdraw her and homeschool. Been homeschooling her since 2020. This year I applied for pep, was approved, awarded and funded for pep. What was I suppose to do as for withdrawing from homeschool?

You’re suppose to terminate your homeschool because you are now part of the PEP program. Call the district and see if you can get all the documentation right. It’s fairly new so it’s been confusing for a lot of people.

I'd like to withdrawal my child from kindergarten at her private school (FES funded) to start homeschooling now/mid year. But i learned of PEP today. Is the process the same given the fact that we had FES for private? Can i pull mid year and still get PEP?

I’m pretty sure you will have to reapply in around May as a homeschooler. If you pull her out you will loose those funds.

In regards to the FES funding, they fund quarterly & the school will lose their remaining payouts, I'm not worried about that... My baby is getting further behind everyday. So I just moved to Florida from Arizona. We don’t have a permanent address because we are now traveling within Florida for work. They said we could use the work shop address when we need to get state IDs but I’m not sure if it would be allowed to use as an address when applying for the pep application. Do you know how the process works if you don’t have an actual address because of travel?

You would have to call to make sure they will accept that. PEP does require you to have documentation of Florida address.

Hi I have pep and I got awarded and I'm just waiting to be funded I'm still completely confused of how to use the it afterwards I just found out that I could use it for extracurricular activities. For the extracurricular activities does it come out from the funding or does Step Up pays for it separately

The funding is Step Up. Most places you have to pay upfront and then turn in the receipts to step up. They have lots of tutorials and when you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy. But it does take time.
