Explore The Vibrant Streets Of Bristol UK | City Centre Walking Tour!
If you're wondering what to do in one day in Bristol, follow this walking tour of the City Centre. We start on Quay Street, opposite St John's church, surrounded by iconic street art - El Mac's 'Clothed with the Sun,' Nick Walker's 'Tipping Red Paint,' 'Welcome To Bristol' by Tats Cru and Aryz's 'Wolf.
Through the arch into Broad Street we're greeted by Conor Harrington's The Duel of Bristol. Turning along Bell Lane we cross to explore Leonard Lane, often known as Graffiti Alley because it's walls are completely covered in spray art.
Bristol UK has to be on your Britain top 10 list.
We emerge into the relative grandeur of Corn Street. Among bars and restaurants we find an open air market and Exchange Avenue leading to the covered food market known as St Nicholas Market.
We emerge to follow Broad Street and pass Edward Everard's Printing Works with it's amazing tiled frontage and the Palestine Museum before heading back through the arch beneath St Johns.
We follow Christmas Street to cross Colston Avenue to ascend the famous Christmas Steps. Passing the board game cafe 'Chance & Counters,' the barbers 'Harry Blades & Angry Daves', the '20th Century Flicks' video shop, 'That' art gallery and many more independent traders, we arrive on Colston Street.
We pause to view Foster's Almshouses dating back to the 15th Century before taking Trenchard Street to Colston Hall - Bristol's largest concert hall. Continuing on, we find The Olde Hatchet Inn dating from 1606. Just beyond here, we find more street art including Big Deal Kids by JPS and an amazing piece of pop art by the collaboration of Richt and 45RPM.
And just around the corner, as we mount the steps to Park Street is
Banksy's Hanging Man (or Well Hung Lover as it's sometimes known as.)
We complete our walk with Bristol City Council on our right as we cross College Green to view Bristol Cathedral.

We explore some of Bristol's iconic heritage - the grand buildings of Corn Street with their bars and restaurants, the food market known as St Nicholas Market, the tiled facade of Edward Everard's Printing Works, the famous Christmas Steps and Bristol Cathedral. But we also discover the city's modern heritage on this Bristol Street Art tour. Works by El Mac, Tats Cru, Aryz, Nick Walker, JPS, Richt and 45RPM, Conor Harrington and of course Banksy himself are all featured.

My husband and I grew up in Bristol (83 and 81 years ago) and my son, who is currently working in Bristol (!) thought his parents might be interested in seeing your walking tour. So much looks the same.... it was hard to remember exactly where Frogmore Street and Nelson Street are, but we did. Thank you Living Walks for creating this. We now reside on Vancouver Island BC in Canada.

I have a soft spot for Bristol. When I studied there I often spent a happy hour or two walking around the streets and saw many of the good bits like the harbour and historic core, and many of the not so good bits, of which there were unfortunately many. You’ve done the city justice with your vid. Well done. Reminds me of those years I spent there as a penniless student!

I was half-expecting a few 'Jack the Ripper' crime scene locations at the start of this film, ha ha. Our guide was admirably discreet about that. Olde Bristole Village scarcely features in my reminiscence but I did get to appreciate a lot about Bristol during the six or seven years I lived out on the eastern parameter. To be honest, I spent a lot of weekends in London - which is kind of an endorsement of Bristol's excellent transport links, but I didn't have to leave town to find a good time, that's for sure. Ditto for the two years I lived in Worthing, prior to Bristol: I had far more nights out in London than I did Brighton.

Hey Henry, great to see you here. We've been using the Oneplus 3. We've been lucky with the 4k footage this time around, but have found a few times when the resulting frame rate was too low to be usable. (Hence an eventual move away from this phone for filming.) The extra drive is purely to offload footage as shooting in 4k eats up space. The battery pack simply allowed us to recharge the phone while we were out and about to make the most of the daylight.

You started off by going through St. John's archway, the last entrance into medieval Bristol. The narrow lanes to the right, ran inside the outer protective wall into the old city. Most of what you covered was the old city, so a great choice.

Try to avoid moving to a place nearby a nuclear power plant such as Bristol , Hinkley Point nuclear power plant is within 30 miles . From 2001 . this nuclear plant occurred 4 fire and leaks 12 times ! I discover many youtubers intentionally introduce Bristol as a most decent place to live . I guess they or their relatives or friends urgently want to escape from Bristol to avoid the nuclear disaster , so they try many cunning ways to attract people to buy their houses/flats . So they try speaking untrue information in their channels about the goodness of Bristol but hide the weakness of Bristol like the crime rate of Bristol is quite high and Bristol is within 30 miles of Hinkley Point nuclear power plant . They do this in order to mislead Hong Kong people and people of other areas to move to Bristol . About 1 year and 4 months ago , there was a riot in the Bristol city center . Thousands of people taking part and some police cars were burnt . also some policemen were hurt . 15 rioters were sentence for many years . So far a number of people were still on trial . As a conclusion , Bristol is not a safe city . Crime rate is high when compared with many other cities like Reading , Brighton , Canterbury , etc.,
