Weed wacker, leaf blower, shovel to move the dirt and mud will be handy in cleaning up the bridge and of course resetting the stone. The bridge will then be back in order and ready to use. A lot of work, I know but what a wonderful restoration to the historic memory of long ago to an already beautiful property! 😊

If the estate is still in the same family, there may be some sort of archival records still remaining in the house, or perhaps a sketch, print, or painting of how the bridge would have looked in use; sort of in the style of say, a Constable painting.

Some fallen trees give the horses an opportunity to naturally grind down their back teeth if they need to. I had a small piece of hard wood in my paddocks and would often see them pick it up and chew it for a minute or two, so Ieft it in thes paddock
