Looks like the lady was trying to keep things clean & tidy in her own way. It is very important for people with or without dementia to keep busy. Do not stop people with dementia from doing things like this, as long as they are safe. They are much happier with a job to do. We all need some purpose.

Actually this place is worthy of display. It is really very artistic. This would do well as an exhibition in the Tate Modern. The bags that are knotted together made an amazing texture. Landscape artists have wrapped up parts of coastlines, buildings etc but I haven't seen any exhibitions with lots of things wrapped up in any building before. If you made a really smooth, artistic, video of this you might win some sort of award. Thankyou for sharing.

ray gregory my mom had dementia and wanted help doing things but she wouldn’t let anyone help. It was a bit of a battle to find a dr to find out what was wrong. When we did one thing the Dr said was person with Dementia think nothing is wrong it’s the people around her that know something is. It was a long hard journey. But she wouldn’t let anyone do anything with her stuff and that is when we found out hoarding was a symptom. I did what I could and really tried and be there for her my dr finally told me I had to slow down it wasn’t doing me any good. The family may have been trying and that is probably who ended up putting her in a care home when it was needed.

Alzheimers can change someone with in a matter of months, my nana has it, as soon as she diagnosed with it, that was it. That person was gone sadly, just an empty shell. The hardest thing is packing someone's place up, while they are still alive. Me and my mum had to do that, while my nana was put into a care home. One thing though with her bagging up, will make things easy to move. I was surprised that the electric was still been supplied to the house, id have thought that would have been the 1st thing to be cut off. Unless some one is paying for the bill still and looking at starting to move stuff soon.

Hi Graham, yes your right about the time it must have taken her to do this, years and years, even the food in the cupboards was bagged and labelled. I really don’t think I will ever see another place like this again, it was certainly memorable:) Thanks for watching

The house looked newish and kind of modern and seem to be in a good neighborhood, would make someone a real fab home but however it got to be in such a poor state before someone doing something to it. The owner must have 🤪🤯 issues?? even the safe was full of the green bags !the house was spotless too so wonder why ? What’s happen to the owner! Didn’t think he’s married and got kids to pass on this . I love the house . Xxx

When my mom had dementia she got quite paranoid I wonder if that is why the cameras? We didn’t know my mom had dementia until my dad passed away then it got very bad. We knew something was wrong so did my dad. My mom kept buying things and her house got so packed plus I found in her bedroom where she would drop off her groceries in there and forget about them. She couldn’t organize anymore but she would try. My mom was always worried people were going to steal her things, I wonder if that was what this lady was maybe doing covering things up so they wouldn’t get stolen. Though my mom did a lot of odd things too but it seemed logical to her. I have to say the place is pretty clean other then the bags. I wonder if someone is coming in and am doing that because there doesn’t seem to be any dust.
@stare67114 жыл бұрын
Hi Doris, thanks for that, its interesting to hear your mom was worried about things getting stolen, maybe thats why this lady decided to wrap everything up so people couldnt steel from her, it certainly would explain why she had cameras pointing outside. Thanks for your thoughts:)

Stare my mom was very paranoid. A door to door alarm salesmen sold my mom a security alarm etc that she couldn’t work. The type of dementia my mom had made her hallucinate as well.

Hi Mark, yes the front garden looked ok but the back garden lawn was quite overgrown. Maybe someone was keeping the front garden tidy so it didnt look abandoned? I didnt even notice the bins on the driveway and of course they were also GREEN:)

Now I knew where all the green bin bags gone! they were from a local council so therefore the people who’s own the property must at one time either work for the local council and collected all them rubbish bags which they used to give to the council rental or the areas they have no big bins to used. If you guys looked at the front on the bag you will be able to tell. So i think the owner was a rubbish collector or knew someone who’s working for them to be able to bring so many rolls of them green bags!!
@TheLadyT23 Жыл бұрын
It's not 'crazy' she was organising in bags because that was her way of feeling in control. The shower in the bathroom wouldn't have been used while she had dementia because dementia or Alzheimers patients are afraid of the water on their heads. God rest her soul, she did an amazing job of labelling her things neatly and in order too. Very sad, but hopefully it gave her some comfort doing her job of wrapping and organising.
