Watching these videos always leaves me feeling sad and melancholic. To see the remnants of somebodys life laid bare and left to rot is so sad and a reminder that life is only temporary. We come into this world with nothing and we go out exactly the same way, whether you're rich or poor. We can't take anything with us.

Amazing video, but so sad at the same time! This was obviously once a loved house full of fond memories, owned by someone who loved their children and grandchildren. Seeing that birthday card choked me up a bit. My dad is in his late seventies now, adores our two old son and both my brother and I, and I can’t imagine what it would be like when he goes. Just goes to show what gets left behind, regardless of the life lived. Hug your parents if you’re lucky enough to still be able to. Hug your children and grandchildren if you have them.

I agree. All these explorations are so interesting but tinged with sadness too.To see a person's life encapsulated in a house like this is quite moving. It seems strange that the family would not sort out the property and personal effects. It's so sad to see a perfectly sound family home deteriorate to such an extent when there are so many homeless people out there.

The stereo next to the pile of magazines was a Panasonic combination receiver & turntable, circa 1965. I used to have one myself. Wood housing, and vacuum tubes inside. Very reliable, but it got hot if you left it on too long.

Those pictures of crying children were a bit of an oddity of the late 60s, 1970s & early 80s. It is as though the artists subconscious picked up the sadness of the many children who were being abomnibally abused at the time but could not any help whatsoever because there was no-one whose role it was to listen & if you tried to start to tell someone suddenly they would just get busy or dismiss you as they did not want to take responsibility for doing anything.

Thanks for the great video. People ask what happens to the family its such a shame! Our late Father left his house and belongings to our stepmother, It is a 16-century farmhouse with outbuildings full of his tools and machinery its such a shame but we don't speak. It would make a great video but she still pays the bills. She cannot afford the upkeep on the property so its become a wreck. Old properties need constant maintenance. It has been left as a shrine to our late father, shame!

Though not something you should pursue Those paintings are all very cursed and haunted I know of a lady who owned all of them but THAT particular one she even mentioned it I believe the name is "Crying Red Riding hood" if memory serves. me and some friends stayed with her over the week end while her husband was away on business (or so she told us we believe he left as there was no indication of him returning as in no male clothes ; shoes or anything save for his hunting trophies) that house was and still is the most haunted and active paranormal house I ever visited or seen to date. And those paintings cried as in the entire hall way was resounding of children crying it usually started at around midnight every night we all heard it and went into the hall way and saw them cry all of them ; at first we could not believe it and than I touched the tears and it was real tears so to make sure I tasted it (real tears taste salty) and they did taste salty so it was no water leak it was REAL DEAL TEARS! it was the craziest thing we experienced ever. this happened back around 2006 ; 3 years ago my friend whose mother know this lady told her and she told us than that the lady died though no one knows how the police ruled her death as unexplained and the coroner apparently just stated cardiac arrest as the cause of death so best stay clear of any of the "crying children" paintings. The Lady told us that there are 14 total 7 boys and 7 girls and that the artist had some kind of link to Black magick and the occult as well and that the 14 children painted was informed that they will be killed after the painting was done no clue how true that is but it does explain the cursed and haunted nature of those paintings I have no idea how she knew so much about them either.

As soon as I saw the back of that van I recognised it for the Bedford that it was. The "vinyls" you found are 78 rpm records made of shellac which is a kind of hard wax, a primitive plastic almost. When you show photos that you find does nobody ever recognise anyone and contact you about them? That`s always puzzled me.

When you come across “abandoned” properties, trust me they are NOT abandoned. When someone dies “intestate” that without a will leaving the property to the “will hunters” who have to hold the estate frozen in time for up to THIRTY YEARS and find the relatives who are related (obviously) to the deceased. They may not be able to locate anyone but YOU may break the case by giving away the names and addresses of the property. SHOW the property because just might be able to remember the old relative. Remember it is almost impossible to make a false claim👍

This has all happened quite quickly, the vacuum cleaner at the start of the video is a Hoover Purepower that dates from around 2005. So the house was lived in until then unless somebody put the Hoover there afterwards which is extremely unlikely. A recluse probably lived there who couldnt keep up with maintenance and it probably started to look 'abandoned' long before it actually was.

I don't have newspapers from 2008 in my house anywhere, but a lot of these houses do. I thought maybe its older folk leaving stuff upstairs, and then they possibly are unable to get up and down the stairs at a later date (say having a fall or something), but I like to think if that were me I'd at least try to get up there and clear stuff out. @@lynnberry2890 yes I heard that too! Houses kept burning down with it in, though it was apparently a very popular picture in the 1980s so kinda unsurprising it was in a few house fires. No idea why it was so popular I think it looks hideous 🤣
