As a child, I spend a few years in Andorra,... I haven't returned since 1976. Cannot believe how it has changed :) WOW. I need to return. Although I liked it best when it was just a small village. :)

It was never a small village but a huge mall.

@@2chatons384, The same as today. I meant Andorra was never, in the last one hundred years, at least, a bucolic place lost in the middle of the Pyrenees, but an inmense drugstore where both the French and the Spaniards (I would say mainly the Spaniards) got some cheap stuff (electronics, tobacco, alcohol... ) due to the almost non-existing taxes.

Also Andorra is cheap compared to France and Spain, because it is a tax haven and people who live near the border in France and Spain often go to Andorra to buy cheap goods.

I would definitely recommend the Camino at Pyrenees, that’s undoubtedly one the most beautiful parts of the trail. It is possible to start the Camino at any point (you still need to get your Camino credentials book first though in order to sleep at the official accommodations) and continue it later, even for few days at a time. It’s not a race to a destination (Santiago de Compostella) but just being on a journey.

Hey Gabriel, Andorra looks a little different than it did when I was there in 1993. Either that mall wasn't there or I just missed it but if I had to guess I would say it wasn't there. I was only there for one day but found it to be very beautiful. When I was young I collected stamps and I loved it when I could pick up some stamps from Andorra because they were so beautiful so one of my main reasons to go there was to go to the post office and buy as many stamps as I could afford. I ended up buying at least one of all they had. The guy at the post office spoke English very well and we had a very nice conversation. He would point to a certain stamp and tell me all about what was on it. If it was a person he would tell me the story behind the person or if it was an area or building he would tell me about that. I must put Andorra back on my bucket list to visit once again.

Wow, Andorra- always wanted to go and your video really brings it to life. Loved the adventurous hike. Those splashes of paint on rocks indicate the route of GR long distance trails. If you're getting into European micro states, try Liechtenstein. I have been there, (there's a video of a walk up to the castle in my channel) and the Alpine scenery is fantastic. Not cheap though- Switzerland prices. Also, if you're seriously contemplating a long trek in the Pyrenees, I would suggest the Haute Pyrenees route or the easier GR trail, both of which go from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, in preference to that St James trail. If you ever do such a trek, you really should buy the route guidebook! My one criticism of your hike in this video is that your footwear was totally inadequate for such walking- but you're probably not surprised to hear me say that!

There are videos of others doing the trail but I'm just not interested. I've gotten so totally accustomed to your low-key, authentic style of travel video I can't seem to watch the others. I vlogged kinda as a joke but I don’t think the end result will be quality content 😅 also just an fyi, Faroe Islands are part of the Kingdom of Denmark and aren’t technically their own country!!! Same w Greenland. It’s the equivalent of Scotland/Wales within the UK

@@SamanthaSeltzer Technically yes but i still see them as kind of independent territories since their culture, language and daily life is slightly different from Denmark, i guess the only thing what still ties them together is the financial aspect.
