The work you see in that shot is part of a huge project to extend our fantastic UBahn public transport system with driverless trains and new stations! The extensive and cheap transport system is one of the key reasons why Vienna consistently wins Most Livable City in the world! The Rathaus and gardens (Rathausplatz) are fantastic and a huge free public viewing film festival runs all summer with food stalls from around the world. You have to come back and visit the many different Christmas markets in the city too!

We've already added Vienna Xmas markets to our bucket list! We were saying as we explored that it would be magical at Christmas!

Really nice video guys. Here is one of the 2 million citizens and i have to say that vienna has much more to offer than the first district. Ok Schönbrunn is not in the first but anyways. I would like to show you some spots for your next trip. Wiener Prater (roller coasters, spooky ghost trains....), Haus des Meeres (House of the Seas) a big flak tower turned into a big Aqua Zoo, Museum of military history, Wiener Zentralfriedhof (one of the biggest graveyards in europe), Hermesvilla, Donauturm (Danube Tower). Around Vienna there are so many castles and ruines to visit. Carnuntum (old Roman village from the 4th century ad) is also a nice spot to visit. And please try a good sausage at a Wiener Würstelstand 😉

It’s a long time since I’ve been in Austria. Can you imagine having a palace like that as a summer house 😅. I love to challenge myself on public transport when I’m travelling.

Oh NOOOO!! DON'T GO TO SCHNITZELWIRT!!! Has always been a plain tourist trap - and still is! No Viennese or Austrian in general would ever go there. - This is actially just around the corner from my place, and the whole area is crowded with really nice places to eat and drink. I feel sorry for you! - Please don't think this was an authentic Viennese food experience!
