An old trick for keeping your fish from curling during cooking: Make a few vertical cuts on each side. You can also cut fish in half to fit all in a small pan. Great Vid, thanks a million!

A tip for fishing spoons, you can fish them with flies. Tie a fly about a 2 feet off the back of your spoon, spinner or jig. You’ll catch a bunch

Grayling never caught one how do they taste . Oh brother I just made myself hungry ! Dang it ! Picturesque lake ! You never really say where but I'll assume it's your home state . You got me so jealous ! But I had my time when I was young not so mobile in my days now though . If ever I get to fish in you neck of the woods one day that would be put on my bucket list for sure ! You awesome mate ! Thumbs-up and keep fishing !

Fished lots of grayling and one thing worth noting is that they don't last well in a catch basket before they start to go bad. Best way is to salt and pepper and slap a bit of butter in a piece of foil

Nice job man! Stunning fish, I’d love to send you some flys if you were interested in doing some more fishing with them. I’d love to see you try out a day of fly fishing and see how you like it, I find creek fishing with dry flys is the most fun and exiting fishing on the fly. There’s just something about those small creeks that make those wild trout fight crazy!

@bignasty186flyfishing72 жыл бұрын
You also should try a size 16-14 elk haired Caddis like 4’-5’ away from you bobber. That’s should work for you as well for any grayling or trout that are rising in a spinning rod. And small leaches like wooly buggers they will hit. Hope you try it. Good luck 🤙🏽
@bassntroutfishing2 жыл бұрын
I’ll try that!

@@bassntroutfishing that advice is prolly the best advice in the comment section.... i use it a lot myself for trout here in norway. its not always the hottest fly but it always catches. you should use a bombarda bobber though.

@@bassntroutfishing I for one would love a series where you record you learning how to fly fish, and then when you get good enough make a comparison video between spin and fly fishing. Just and idea!
@gladegoodrich22972 жыл бұрын
@@chazsklenar4815 Have been a fly guy for years and have the latest and greatest in reels and expensive rods. One winter I was so bored that I tried 800+ flies to go with the hundreds I already had. I would still rather throw a water bubble and a fly way out there where the big one's are!

You should cast out and real in super slow you have constant movement on your nymph. And also put your nymph like 3’-4’ below your bobber. But nice job bro. You did catch a bunch so that’s cool 🤙🏽
