Usually when someone say they are from a certain place it means they were born there. You don't hear Pakistanis born and raised in uk telling they are from Pakistan. @@LukeDamant Pink Kashmiri Chai is made with special tea leaves which when boiled with water give out a dark orange color and when milk is added to the tea, it turns pink. Traditionally Kashmiri folks like it only with salt. In Pakistan it is preferred with salt/sugar/spices, topped with dried ground nuts. Welcome back to Pakistan. Enjoy.

Pink tea is basically made from green tea leaves but it boil for hours - to give the pink color. And people add ‘dry fruit’ aka nuts into it for flavour. It is very popular during winter.
