That viewing platform was only put in there about 2 years ago, previously it was a wooden structure that has been replaced several times over the years due to being washed away in extreme rough weather. In my youth at low tide we used to walk through the cave! Back in those days there wasn't a platform for viewing, it was just stairs to get down!
