Hmm... Gotta support our new Hong Konger friends~ I saw a news just today that the archaeologist found an entire district remnants of 17th century Tainan at Chikan tower site. Possibly the original first city centre of Taiwan. They are still excavating the area. Exciting staff!

oh.... I remember this place. It is 延平郡王祠. Also, there is another temple beside, named 臨水夫人廟。There is a famous goddess for wishing a kid. ^_^ And, I do have my little son at there. BTW, don't make a with about the weather. South of Taiwan was shortage of water about 2 weeks ago. We need the raining days, indeed. The small flower is 雞蛋花. It is not a original Taiwan species. It's more general/famous at Bali island. The large one is 大花黃蟬.

I ’m happy to talk to you again, because I watched Mr. Wes Davies Svideo, thank you for your wonderful comments on Taiwan, there are still many things to visit in Taiwan, there are 268 high mountains over 3,000 meters in Taiwan, There are plains, mountains, canyons, coasts, and sandy beaches in Kenting . Eastern Taiwan, and there are many particularly beautiful islands, such as Kinmen Island, Matsu Island, Penghu Islands, Green Island, and Special Culture Aboriginal Lanyu Island, in fact, there are many small islands near Taiwan that are worth your visit. Do n’t forget to visit the Aboriginal Village in Eastem Taiwan. They are very hospitable and welcome.

I highly recommend that you can go to an attraction in the Liugui District of Kaohsiung called "Yuanguan Daochang", which is completely different from the general temple. Address: No. 81 Sanmin Road, Xinliao Village, Liugui District, Kaohsiung City

Frangipani is the most famous flower in Bali (flower maskot of Bali). You did it well to put the flower on your ear. That’s what we do in Bali after praying and splash the holi water on our head using frangipani flower and then put that flower on our ear.

Well...In my opinion, 龍(dragon) is not simply the ruler of the sea. Meanings about dragon in Chinese culture is multidimensional. Dragon means power or strong and have ability to do everything. Also means good luck. Some said the original picture of dragon was from the thunder or lightning, so dragon can control the weather(raining). It’s true that there are legends said there are 4 dragon kings administrating 4 seas (or oceans), well maybe we can say just like Poseidon. And also there are palaces under the sea as the dragon kings offices. But I will say these legends do not emphasize the relation between dragon and water (or sea), the more important thing is dragon symbolize the power, “the authority”. That’s also the reason why emperors in Chinese history always use dragon as the symbol of emperors themselves. So back to this fountain, I will say ,in this case, it’s just a design or decoration of the fountain, simply because dragon means the good thing, good luck, powerful... so the designer love to use dragon as a element in to their design, what dragon spews doesn’t matter. By the way, you can also find some lighter in Taiwan which designed as a dragon spewing fire. So what dragon spews does not matter lol.

I’m sure you will go here, but I recommend Tainan Confucius temple as well as Anping Tree house. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Tainan, but I’m pretty resigned now to the fact that I won’t be going back to the US for my summer vacation (I am so glad to be here, but really sad I won’t be able to do all the traveling in the us and Canada my mom and I had planned for June and July) and will instead stay here, so I’m definitely going to take note of that pineapple bread bakery, in case I go to Tainan!
