Another great vid as always! I previously recommended Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and it was awesome seeing you play, explore and teach us the history of it, many things I didn't know myself! I have another great recommendation, a game called "Tremulous" that was released back in 2006! It's a very unique game, almost MOBA like, where you either play as a Human or Alien, trying to take each others base/nest out. It has a ton of depth, with different creatures you can mutate into, or different weapons and defenses for both. Would be super awesome to see you play and cover that! I'll reply this to your pinned comment and make an actual comment, and can message you on Twitter soon about it :)

I played it during its original official run and remember it as EA's response to TF2's massive success. It was very simple, but played very nicely and was both solid & lovable and honestly, it probably was my favorite title in the Battlefield IP. It honestly really blows my mind that EA never really did anything to revive the IP as I remember it having a massive player base during a time when a lot considered PC gaming dead. Sadly, its fate was sealed quite quickly as EA alienated both console gamers and their dedicated community due to "P2W upkeep" as they pushed wave after wave of incrementally better P2W weapons leading to redundant purchases. Not to mention, its reputation amongst the anti-P2W led to the gaming community not really taking it seriously. Add on top of that three classes to several waves of P2W "meta weapons" and it quickly got out of hand to maintain three classes of heroes with a couple purchases each wave. I don't quite blame EA for that.. it was released almost five full years before CS:GO proved that cosmetics could carry games and it was a very generous offering in comparison to F2P games of its time. But it really surprises me that it's not a concept that was ever revisited.. especially with subsequent Battlefield flops as well as Valorant & Overwatches successes. While I do love the intense "class balancing acts" of those titles, Heroes still hit an extremely simplistic and lighthearted rock-paper-scissors and easy to pick up niche that I think a lot of gamers truly loved and hasn't quite been replicated. But I'm sure that there's a very different future where the Heroes IP became a staple EA series and it's a true shame we never quite got that.

Gospel of Jesus Christ John 3:16 For God So loved the world that he gave his only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life. Jesus Christ Died for the sin of the World, If you believe in ur heart God risen Jesus from the dead and confess him with ur mouth to people you shall be saved. Jesus said I Am The only way to heaven there is no other way! Repent of urs sins (Repent means Change ur Mind turning away from sinful things and being truly sorry for it.) trust Jesus and give ur life to him He Loves you cares about you more than anyone ever will! we are saved By Grace Trough Faith!,this is sin: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 For all have sined and felt short of the Glory of God. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:18-21, 23 KJV Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 REPENT OR YOU WILL PERISH REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL GET RIGHT WITH GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Sad finally seeing RO2 on here. So many good memories of that game, but Rising Storm 2 split the player base quite a bit. I loved doing the campaign maps for RO2 where you had to take territory by winning each maps in a long back and forth until one team ultimately won the campaign hours in. Squad Leader was my position of choice, providing a solid spawn point and assisting the Team Leader with high value target marks for artillery. That or grabbing a sniper and getting a flank position overlooking common defense points, pelting the enemy high value targets to stop them from getting a foothold.
@762rk95tp Жыл бұрын
That is the eternal fate of every indie tactical FPS. Sequel comes out bit after previous game is fixed, splits player base, but almost always doesn't get everyone from previous game on board because upon release new game is a buggy mess.

Antimatter/Tripwire actually intended to port RO2/RS1 to Rising Storm 2's unreal engine build but development on the game fell through when Antimatter was sold off. What especially unfortunate is that they released the game on Epic and broke a bunch of stuff to the point where it's actually in a more broken state than it was at release.

Red Orchestra 2 was the main reason I decided to build my first computer after playing RO1 for years. No other game back then had the feel and pace of it. Realistic yet not too slow like Arma but not run and gun dump rounds into people like battlefield. Every kill/flank/objective gave you a punch of satisfaction, your actions had weight. While death was a single rifle round away. An enemy machine gunner missing horribly made you miss and move slower so even if he was horrible it contributed to the suppression and effectiveness of a push. RO2 and darkest hour mod are still on my top of the list for games to return to, because nothing yet has came close to the feel of them both for me.
@Zaczac111 Жыл бұрын
Actually, machine gunners suppressing the enemy also made them way less accurate too, so most of the 'missing horribly' was likely suppressing fire to begin with. There's a time and place to focus fire and a time and place on suppressing fire. A good MG knew when a push was coming and thus could interrupt the push with suppressing fire first.

God i loved battlefield heroes as a kid. I was heartbroken to learn it was shut down. Even if I hadn't played for years by the time it did

I was about to shut this video off and go to bed, then battlefield heroes came up! I think about this game at least a handful of times a year, can never remember its name. I literally tried to remember again earlier in the week. Thanks for helping me!

Your bringing a tear in my eyes, mate. I remember playing it when it first came out. It was fantastic, goofy and what did suck is how the game died. Battlefield bad compliant 3 was being released a few years later by the same dev team and resources were removed from Battlefield Heroes. It also didn't help that it was p2w game during the later years. It had so much potential and it was let go. Also a big no no was the enforced spyware and hidden malware within the files (from the original game). So they used the anti cheat thing, but it also kicked out good to great players from the servers because the software thought we were cheating. It did kick the cheaters, but the good square players didn't need to get kicked. I think I also played Kuma War a military simulator. But, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want your PC to be filed with Trojans, Malware etc. Back then my parents PC had Windows XP and I messed it up. 5,000 viruses, I'm not proud of it. 😬 I learned never download games from sketchy adverts or untrustworthy sites. So now it's just Steam, PSN store, XBOX pass, etc. just the legit ones. This how ever doesn't include emulation software and games that separate. But, it be great to save up for a PC handheld like the MSI Claw. Have you heard of Neo pets that's dying. Adventure Quest which was a turn based Javascript software was single player free to play RPG. Not many people play it.

Life is Feudal: Your Own; was a fantastic medieval sandbox castle building game that is pretty much completely dead. They tried to make an MMO out of it too which never took off because of some legal issues or something with the publisher or something. A few servers still kicking along though, usually modded and have real tight communities

It would be cool if you checked out other genre than shooters. I propose to take a look at Soapbox (Fan made NFS World), Project Torque, Victory the age of racing, and finally Drift City if that exists. Thanks for your content it's really well made.

It's kinda shadow of the glory of original Red Orchestra's community versions of Danzig. Community version of Danzig evolved opening one room at the time until every single room in every building were accessible.

It’s always a pleasure to look at old signs in minecraft. I can’t help but think where they are now, how have they been? Has life been good to them? Do they still play? Tb2t and Minecraft online have huge history and it’s always cool to see someone’s perspective while it was happening

Boundary was incredible and actually helped me with my fear of floating endlessly into the void. Its just hard to wait 8-10 mins to match into a game.

21:10 watching this makes me wanna play battlefield heroes again, I used to play this game when I was a kid every day after school. those was truly the good old days, sadly they shut the game down I tried to play on the remakes but only met a lot of hacker.

13:20 Honestly, Minecraft singleplayer feels lonely asf, co-op/multiplayer feels fun, but a whole community just feels like a true community tbh. P.S. CONGRATS ON MINECRAFTONLINE'S DEDICATION!
