Another great vid as always! I previously recommended Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and it was awesome seeing you play, explore and teach us the history of it, many things I didn't know myself! I have another great recommendation, a game called "Tremulous" that was released back in 2006! It's a very unique game, almost MOBA like, where you either play as a Human or Alien, trying to take each others base/nest out. It has a ton of depth, with different creatures you can mutate into, or different weapons and defenses for both. Would be super awesome to see you play and cover that! I'll reply this to your pinned comment and make an actual comment, and can message you on Twitter soon about it :)

I had no clue Battle field heroes had "another " developers. Heard the servers got shut down and it would never be back. I actually own a t-shirt that i won in an official EA competition (making a picture of sorts regarding the game). Man, i grew up with it, these 2mins of gameplay brought a smile to my face. @@maxivilsiI was 44-46 when I played it. Spent a lot more on this "free-to-play" game than any other game, never thought the fun would end. Tried RisingHub a couple of years ago, and it is still a great game, but the players are just insanely good, and I think there is no functioning ELO-system due to lack of players, so one is completely without chance.

Red Orchestra 2 :( I wish to go back to 2014 and relive the glorious days of this game again. Especially the Heroes of the West mode. Remember also playing a game clled Ace of Spades which was a really cool little game before the devs got greedy, completely changed the entire game and monetized it. Was very sad to watch this happen.

I'm a Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 player. It's a really fun game. Not that hard to get into, but a lot to do. German vs Russian, and American vs Japanese battles. The servers are usually pretty active on the weekends at least. And you can also play training games against bots. The maps are accurate for a number of historical locations. So you can try to inch up the hill at Iwo Jima if you're brave. Many games on The Bridges of Druzhina, and The Myshkova river. We'd be happy to have more players.

Gospel of Jesus Christ John 3:16 For God So loved the world that he gave his only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life. Jesus Christ Died for the sin of the World, If you believe in ur heart God risen Jesus from the dead and confess him with ur mouth to people you shall be saved. Jesus said I Am The only way to heaven there is no other way! Repent of urs sins (Repent means Change ur Mind turning away from sinful things and being truly sorry for it.) trust Jesus and give ur life to him He Loves you cares about you more than anyone ever will! we are saved By Grace Trough Faith!,this is sin: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 For all have sined and felt short of the Glory of God. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:18‭-‬21‭, ‬23 KJV Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9‭-‬10 REPENT OR YOU WILL PERISH REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL GET RIGHT WITH GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST.

RIP Battlefield Heroes one of the best games i've played in my childhood and still missed to this day. Battlefield Heroes was Pay2Win. Better sets of items were buyable for $, while lot of items were not buyable for F2P player and some required lot of grinding. Gameplay, Vehicles, Emojis it all keeped the game alive. This is first and last game I remember where people (like my brother from 1992) enjoyed playing against Pay2Win players. I don't know any other game, where you can have fun playing against Pay2Win players. It's always a frustration. But not with Battlefield Heroes.

I got thousands of hours in Miscreated. I used to love that game. Today I realize that it was just one giant asset-flip. Instead of actually finishing the base game or adding the content they promised, the devs just kept adding crap like Weapon Skins. They even released multiple paid DLC'S and while promising to extend the first map further, they just released a second one as a DLC and charged people for it. At the end of it all, they became absolutely insane. Started banning people from their Discord and on Social Media left and right for even daring to slightly criticize them for having dropped the game or other things. They even banned the one guy (thingswithali) who was still making content about Miscreated prominently. Their Discord only features their Yes-Man Army and a bunch of people who forgot to leave as of right now. I remember that I once asked a Dev in a Stream if they could implement character creation or more then the two character models. In response I got told that that's stupid and unnecessary and that it would "take too long". When I called out unnecessary weapon-skins and suggested relocating resources to things the community actually asks for, I got threatened with a ban. Took them five years to finally implement building-snapping and even then they were extremely petty about everything they did. Like people calling for more storage space being met with comments like "This isn't Storage Simulator 2000". When they released their 1.0 Version, the Game was still very much so in Beta. It's still Early Access and it never will be completed because they sure as hell won't bother. They collected the money and fucked off. I'm even surprised they didn't also implement tons of Microtransactions although at that time it wasn't that much of a thing yet. That's just one of many examples. Today their Website is down and they pretty much stopped everything. They did announce another game once but I doubt it will ever turn into something or be anything other then the same asset-flip and I seriously advice everybody to avoid Entrada Interactive. As I said before today it really looks like they never had any intentions on actually finishing the game. I think it was supposed to be an asset flip all along.

Red Orchestra 2 was the main reason I decided to build my first computer after playing RO1 for years. No other game back then had the feel and pace of it. Realistic yet not too slow like Arma but not run and gun dump rounds into people like battlefield. Every kill/flank/objective gave you a punch of satisfaction, your actions had weight. While death was a single rifle round away. An enemy machine gunner missing horribly made you miss and move slower so even if he was horrible it contributed to the suppression and effectiveness of a push. RO2 and darkest hour mod are still on my top of the list for games to return to, because nothing yet has came close to the feel of them both for me.
@Zaczac111
@Zaczac111 8 ай бұрын
Actually, machine gunners suppressing the enemy also made them way less accurate too, so most of the 'missing horribly' was likely suppressing fire to begin with. There's a time and place to focus fire and a time and place on suppressing fire. A good MG knew when a push was coming and thus could interrupt the push with suppressing fire first.

Your bringing a tear in my eyes, mate. I remember playing it when it first came out. It was fantastic, goofy and what did suck is how the game died. Battlefield bad compliant 3 was being released a few years later by the same dev team and resources were removed from Battlefield Heroes. It also didn't help that it was p2w game during the later years. It had so much potential and it was let go. Also a big no no was the enforced spyware and hidden malware within the files (from the original game). So they used the anti cheat thing, but it also kicked out good to great players from the servers because the software thought we were cheating. It did kick the cheaters, but the good square players didn't need to get kicked. I think I also played Kuma War a military simulator. But, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want your PC to be filed with Trojans, Malware etc. Back then my parents PC had Windows XP and I messed it up. 5,000 viruses, I'm not proud of it. 😬 I learned never download games from sketchy adverts or untrustworthy sites. So now it's just Steam, PSN store, XBOX pass, etc. just the legit ones. This how ever doesn't include emulation software and games that separate. But, it be great to save up for a PC handheld like the MSI Claw. Have you heard of Neo pets that's dying. Adventure Quest which was a turn based Javascript software was single player free to play RPG. Not many people play it.

I'd suggest trying out "Aliens vs Predator 2" multiplayer here :) A nostalgic "dead" game I go back to every now and then. Technically the games servers are dead but exists a community patch that revived it couple of years ago. Last played it sometime earlier last year and could still find somewhat populated servers at peak hours, not sure how it is now o:

FYI "Notre-Dame" is a common name in France for a church (Église Notre-Dame), doesn't meanthey wanted to recreate Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

It would be cool if you checked out other genre than shooters. I propose to take a look at Soapbox (Fan made NFS World), Project Torque, Victory the age of racing, and finally Drift City if that exists. Thanks for your content it's really well made.

Notre dame de Glenfidditch just means "our lady of glenfiditch," the lady being the church, not a representation of Notre Dame de Paris. It's just a common way to name a church in France. Great video!

I played Miscreated and really enjoyed it, but back in the day, you only had 2 chests you could place in your base, and no, not just 2 variants, 2 actual chests. A small chest and a large chest. It was like if, in Minecraft, your whole base could only have 1 double chest in it. That was your only storage. It was awful, and why I quit.

If Boundary was f2p I'd 100% pick it up. Substitute cosmetic micro-transactions (not predatory) and you have yourself a solid game.

I'm so delighted to see battlefield heroes again. It was my childhood. Played it so god damn much before the shut down. And I knew that rising hub revived the game but never actually played it after the server shutdown. Well this 2min clip gave me so much joy that I think I need to boot up to rising hub and get into some games :)

Battlefield heroes reminds me of an old android game called "Respawnables" it was so good when it first came out, no pay to win just pure fun shooting, of course it got worse with updates introducing stronger and stronger guns and finally shutting down.

I think the problem with games like Day of Infamy, Red Orchestra and similiar games are that just the casual gamers don't like to die every 10 seconds.

I loved battlefield heroes only got 1-2 years before they shut it down, the only reason I never switched to rising hub was because essentially all the time and items/money I had put into the game essentially got "rug-pulled"

the problem with Operation Harsh Doorstop is that it's perhaps too hardcore. when you die you immediately have a black screen, you don’t know who killed you, from where you were shot... since is an "free" project, they could make 2 types of game servers, one hardcore and one more arcade with modern hud and killcam like battlefield

You should take a look at Holdfast Nations at War! You have already covered War of Rights on this series, it is very similar to that but with a very loyal following. Holdfast always has a few hundred people playing it but it never seems to reach any higher success, even with a very active developer. Keep up the great work!
