Thanks for this fabulous route video, the aerial views are stunning. I used your video to plan out my walking route for last week but our walk, though amazing still, was in the clouds the whole time. I never got to see one view, not even a glimpse of Goat's Tarn or Blind Tarn! I've re-watched your video now to see everything I missed and so glad that I could. You made Dow Crag look a whole lot simpler than it felt to us in the thick cloud. That summit was very scary! Thanks again for these, I'll definitely watch more.

I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁. It’s a favourite route of mine. Dow Crag is a true crag and one to take care on when the clag creeps in. Still, I think it adds a certain quality. I’ll be up there again soon as the Goat Tarn area has a secret from the Wainwright books to be uncovered 🧐. Thanks for watching, enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️

Brilliant video as usual and a great route. We did something similar a few years ago and the only downside is the walk back along the Walna Scar Road - it's a bit of a trudge which you wisely didn't show. The mine workings conflict us too as I like the social history and you get a flavour of what went on, but what they did was a blot on the landscape. I think the slate heaps will re-wild eventually though so in 20 years it'll look better!! Regards, Ashley

Thanks Ashley 🙏. It is a great walk and I love the old man. The track back is a bit of a trudge but I tend to run it if on my own as the path is very easy. Yes, the mines are part of what happened but good to see the mountain reclaiming them over time. On the way from the car park before the turn I noticed there has been a lot of tree planting going on so that will also look very different in a few years. All the best out there mate😁⛰️🥾

Hi Tony, brilliant mate, it’s a belting walk. I did it last year but the orher way round and I started in Torver. Before Steeple the other week, Dow Crag was my favourite summit. Did you have a detour to the chock stone to have a peer through. 😀🥾⛰

It is mate. I’m going to do it from the other side later in the season. I didn’t go to the chick stone this time but I’ll get it in the next pass. We should get one in together at some point⛰️. Thanks for the support mate ⛰️👍☀️
