Exploring The Modern Side of Jakarta Indonesia | Bundaran HI & SCBD

Today we are exploring the modern side of Jakarta Indonesia, Southeast Asia's largest city. We visit Bundaran HI area to experience the car free day that takes place in the city every Sunday, see the new and more modern city skyscrapers and shopping malls and try some local Indonesian street food. Then we take a ride on Indonesia's MRT subway line for the first time to the futuristic area in Jakarta known as SCBD (Sudirman central business district) to see what it's like today and discover the best places and areas in the mega city of Jakarta.

Visit PIK in North Jakarta. There are Pantjoran PIK the Chinatown or called little Shanghai, Aloha white sand beach like in Hawai, Batavia cove, where you can enjoy another side of Jakarta, sea views and gentle breezes. You must try to go there

I've stayed in the modern parts of Jakarta every time I've visited there. It is such a dynamic city but my favourite part is where Jakarta Cathedral, Istiqlal Masjid and MONAS is located. While I do prefer neighbouring SE cities of KL, Bangkok and Singapore, I do absolutely adore Jakarta. Obviously used Jakarta as a gateway 2-day stopover to Bali or Lombok

SCBD is pretty much a business area, so if you come there on sunday the place is empty as people are at home or somewhere else. There's nothing much to see there anyway except for some shopping malls and stuffs which I think is not that interesting if you're staying short term, but is helpful if you're actually staying there long term. Anyway enjoy Indonesia!

9:15 you guys at SCBD ( Sudirman Business District) that area are build for business headquarters, offices and im not sure if there's residential building there but you know in the weekend people not going to work so that's why its empty.
