It's important to remember, yet often overlooked, that primates have come an incredibly long way over the course of prehistory. It has taken many convoluted steps, and trials and errors of evolution to get to where we are today. Our story can in fact, be traced back billions of years, to when the first single celled organisms drifted through the earliest oceans when life first evolved - but the story of the primates - the group of mammals that includes us - begins much later. This is that story - a tour spanning sixty five million years.
Through some of the most unlikely circumstances, our ancestors and relatives have survived. While many species of primate have been lost to the fossil record, they represent one of the most diverse groups of mammals alive today. With our own species included, there exists over three hundred distinct species of primate in the forests, grasslands, mountains, swamps and even cities in the modern day, all of which are monuments to the success of this order of mammals' epic story.

Superstitious religious myths? A poll was taken on the scariest experiences people have ever had and the majority said the ouija board. Try to rationalize that with science. Not everything can be measured in concrete. Some things only in the spiritual.

Fair enough. National polls aside, when I was in high school, the assignment from the teacher was for students to write about their most frightening experience and as in the national poll the consensus was the ouija board. More to the point, actors, musicians, even politician's sell their souls to the devil in contracts signed in blood for fame and fortune. This is common knowledge. Now why would the people who run this world, who are alot more intelligent then you and me, give you millions of dollars for something that does not exist, your soul. Explain that scientifically. I am not trying to pick science and the spiritual over the other but to say that as far as human origins go they can validate each other.

Science can be faulted for forgetting that people are made not only of mind and body but also the spiritual. Science won't acknowledge what it can't see or measure like faith.

@YogiMcCaw
@YogiMcCaw 9 ай бұрын
The monkeys on a natural raft story is entirely a conjecture. The video states that it is unequivocally true. I'd like to see the physical proof of that, but of course, we'll never see it unless such a raft was somehow fossilized (highly unlikely) and found by us. Of course, this doesn't mean it did not happen, and it may be that there really aren't any other better explanations, given that the reality is that monkeys did somehow jump the ocean from Africa to South America. How else would they get there besides being cast adrift across the ocean? Nevertheless, I think it's important, from a science standpoint ,to be clear that just because an explanation is the most likely one given what we know, it is not the same as having proof. Therefore, even if it's very likely, it is still just a conjecture.
@danmurray1143

@YogiMcCaw I missed what year the monkey raft would have happened. Could South America & Africa have been much closer together at that time due to the plates having not completely shifted? That would at least remove some of the distance out of the equation. 1st time I've ever heard that theory.

@@danmurray1143 The winds just below and just above the equator are easterlies. At about 35 north AND south latitudes the winds become westerlies. 30 mph is about top speed for a US Naval Destroyer. No, my generalization was broader than that, and a comment on current western society. Why is a White Man always depicted as the conclusion of an evolutionary line to modern humans today, the only hominins alive. Do you think maybe, the technicalities cited are non-responsive ? Are we all white men around the globe? I don't think so, do you? I would love to see other kinds of evolutionary progressions: proto/hominids to modern humans. Something other that a White Man? And while I am at it Humankind is objectively more representative of us than Mankind. I thought we got over the white dudes as they representatives of our species // it's a diverse world, isn't it? . "The Great Leap Forward" as Gerald Diamond refers to it does seem to indicate some sort of hack or upgrade, compared to other biology around us. I will concede that. *HUMAN GROUP EVOLVING TO BE AQUATIC HUNTERS* The Bajau people, or Sea Nomads, have engaged in breath-hold diving for thousands of years. Evolution has increased Bajau spleen size, providing an oxygen reservoir for diving, just like in other sea-going mammals like otters, seals and whales. They can stay underwater for 13 minutes, which is even longer than a dolphin can do it for! Most of us humans can only handle less than two. We would drown at 13. Oh yeah, and the Bajau people are also capable of seeing clearly underwater. They are able to make their pupils smaller and change their lens shape. Seals and dolphins have a similar adaptation. This has been proven in underwater visual testing, the Bajau see twice as well as other humans.

there is no such thing as human evolution Curiously, the problem is compounded by the fact that the earliest representatives of most of the major *invertebrate phyla* appear in the fossil record over a relatively short space of geological time, about 600 mya in the Cambrian era . The strata lain down over the hundreds of millions of years before the Cambrian era, which might have contained the connecting links between the major phyla, are almost completely empty of animal fossils. If transitional types between the major phyla eve r existed then it is in these pre Cambrian strata that their fossils should be found. **Michael Denton Evolution, A Theory in Crisis**

The claim that there is no such thing as human evolution is countered by the overwhelming evidence from various scientific disciplines, including paleontology, genetics, and comparative anatomy. While the fossil record has its gaps, significant fossil finds, like those of hominins, provide crucial links in the evolutionary chain. Regarding the Cambrian explosion mentioned, it primarily applies to invertebrate phyla, not vertebrates like humans. The absence of certain transitional fossils in pre-Cambrian strata does not negate the extensive evidence supporting evolution in later periods. Evolutionary theory is built on a mosaic of evidence, including molecular biology, biogeography, and comparative anatomy, which collectively strengthen the case for the gradual development of species over time. Scientific consensus overwhelmingly supports the reality of human evolution, making it a robust and well-substantiated aspect of our understanding of biology.

Common sense problem with this report published to deceive many. the use of proved in first sentence below. falsehood, its a false premise. this study compares DNA and language, concluding bio evolution shows the origin of language. the correct order is God, information, biology, man, instruction then language God exists with beginning "uncreated" and decided to create. He speaks informational command through His Spirit combined resulting in life Language was the first step which the information resulting in the order DNA would assemble by. Language again was used by God to instruct man. God is the origin of both instances. DNA is proof that language needed to exist first otherwise DNA is just 4 base acids of no intelligent order which delivers no useable instruction to assemble biology. If both DNA and man use language and also come from a mind and that mind isn't man's, than who wrote the instruction for DNA we only discovered now? The answer was provided clearly 2000 yrs ago in John Chapter 1 Nothing evolves and if evolution was correct it requires that life must exist for evolution to do anything and doesn't claim to produce life. So where did life start? why do scientist start at step 2 and never address step 1 where common sense belongs? Evolution starts somewhere after step 1 and providing only half measures, and claims purpose and planning are not required. Life is all a lucky mistake we benefit from. luck is as unscientict a principal if i ever heard one. And nothing worth doing is done without instruction like purpose and a plan. Also biology keep traits that are unused and not required. Many traits are art and only expressive. This speaks to survival only of the fittest. Just look at the platopus! Does evolution entertain humor? Or can nothing like evolution even conceive the thought required? If common sense is used Then God - a Person Almighty is the answer. The nonsense below comes from His enemy the devil trying to separate man from God and if you lack common sense satan we succeed at least in that case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Professor of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University proved that it could be possible to describe genetic code and its evolution with the help of linguistic methods: its history is presented as semiosis, that is the origin of semiotic relations and the procedure of processing of linguistic information as communication. Previously the scientist described the genetic code as a semiotic system controlled by a set of rules (“grammar”), and this article continues his work. The results of the research, supported by the Russian Scientific Foundation's grant, are published in the leading semiotic magazine Semiotica. Newswise - From the very origin of genetics, scientists found a certain analogy between language and genetic information processing. Researchers began to compare the genome with texts also because the origin of the genetic code was an unsolved question in biology, as well as the origin of natural language in linguistics. Genetic code has a double nature: it performs not only biochemical but also informative functions that can be described as a system of signs, controlled by their position, linear order, and context. Thus, genes present a program for the development of the biological structure's embryo. This program reminds the linear text, which is written by specific rules and contains information about biochemical molecular structures and their functions.

Easy. Purgatorius was an anomaly, it was just a very ordinary, generic late Cretaceous Placental Mammal. A type that normally would have lasted maybe a million years or so and then either give rise to a specialist that was better at some minor niche the small Dinosaurs didn't occupy. However, the Mass Extinction event occurred and Placental Mamnal lineages that survived the horrific event, were able to evolve into new niches as the world recovered from the Asterioid impact event. Some populations were outcompeted or predated into extinction. In some places They lasted a very long time and became Plesadipiformes by 58 Mya. The competition became more intense, Purgatorius hadn't just existed in a bubble, it had relatives, they became RODENTS, and LAGOMORPHS. Squirrel type rodents evolved by the Eocene, and poof the North American Primates were doomed. In Eurasia some Primates evolved into Monkeys, then one type of Monkey evolved into Apes. East Asia became the domain of Orangutans and their relatives. Africa became the stronghold of Gorillas and Chimp type Great Apes. Humans are only possible with Gorilla/Chimpanzee lineage Apes it seems, this stage, and not the Orangutan type is the one that has the potential to generate Hominins. Humans are very strange, derived Great Apes, much less the lineage derived from Squrrellike Purgatorius. You need a Chimp relative that lived in trees and developed an odd bipedal way of walking on branches, this enabled them to walk bipedally on the ground, then they developed the ability to throw like a Baseball Pitcher, yes, an Australlpithecine living 3.6 Mya could throw like a Baseball Pitcher can.The "Australloithecine Revolution" I call it, the first Australopithecine, Anamensis 4.2 Mya was still about 40/60 living on trees/ground. By the time Africanus was probably evolving into genus Homo, fully terrestrial and well on it's way to us. Habilis, to Erectus, to eventually Sapiens.

Well technically humans and animals are very distant cousins but we're all related is what I'm getting at. Cuz one of one ancestors was a my prehistoric cat, then evolved into our prehistoric Mouse, then it evolve into a monkey, been evolved into an ape and then evolved into humans. Because that's how Evolution works pretty much all living creatures evolved from the same ancestor which is a tiny microscopic life form with one cell which evolved into other creatures which took billions of years. Who says the Bible and science can’t match up? I believe that science points to God’s existence. Genesis 1 is meant to be a poetic point of view to describe God as creator. It is by no means an account of how or how long God took to actually physically form things. Instead he is giving purpose to each thing He has created. He could have provided a process which we know as evolution. That does not deny the truth of the Bible. Ask God if He exists! Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him if evolution exists. Ask Him about the book of Genesis. Don’t deny Him just because you haven’t asked Him the hard questions. Or been curious about the Bible or Christianity.

From God's perspective 4 Billion years passed in the snap of a finger. But He guided it and controlled it to where we evolved into the human that he considered worthy of his image. And they are the ones that succeeded. All the others werent good or suitable enough. Peter 2- 3:8 Says: "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
