Seeing as this is a rewrite, I naturally had to check out the original with the wayback machine. The rewrite has quite a bit of similarities with the original (not surprising), but said original feels more surreal. Here are some differences: • It was a single storm that, much like Daleport, left the towns it altered permanently anomalous. • Humans caught in the storm either got transfigured to look like domestic animals or be completely composed of dust. Additionally, the limbs of missing residents presumably killed by the storm have been found fused to local wildlife and fauna. •No one can eat or drink, but still feel hungry and thirsty. Any food or drink brought into the affected areas become coated in dust and become dry to human touch. Lack of contact for 3 hours will cause locust to grow from the food, who will consume the food before attempting to consume the people and structures of the town til killed. There are some other things for anyone interested in seeing what the original was like.

I really like this one. Very weird, very eerie, a few hints of otherworldliness without going full multiverse/pataphysical bs, and grounded enough without being obvious commentary.
@MichaelDeHaven20 күн бұрын
I really enjoyed it too. Personally, I quite enjoy the pataphysics stuff. But it's nice to go on a really surreal ride like this too. I think they even did a good job at hinting at a larger narrative while not actually destroying the mystery of this story. Not sure I should've listened to it right before sleep though. Some of that imagery may cause some weird dreams.

Its not just your voice and tone and pacing etc, its also that this is all your own take on things; the little asides in the middle of an intro or on the way out of a segment; that youre still clearly passionate about it all. Pre-WW2 SCP Foundation really needed the magical, tech, magitek, and scientific improvements from the 21st century onwards SCP Foundation. Bet this anomaly involves bisected realities. In another parallel plane, the survivors are the ones affected instead, while the victims are the survivors. Interesting entity, that "imaginary friend". 29:30: What about sweat and tears? Those mentions of SCPs-1861 and -3300 give me chills. That radio host may be not partial to Babylon 5's series finale, it seems. Was expecting Grapes of Wrath philosophy in the midst of an anomalous dust mote blizzard. Did not expect to see Courage the Cowardly Dog and Stephen King's The Stand scares ramped up to eleven.
