Captain America: The First Avenger (1942-1945) 2. Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter (March 1946) 3. Agent Carter S1 (April-May 1946) 4. Agent Carter S2 (July 1947) 5. Captain Marvel AND Post Credit Scene for Captain Marvel (Summer 1995) 6. Spiderman (April-December 2002) Alternate Universe 1 *7. Daredevil (2003) Alternate Universe 2* 8. Madame Web (Early June 2003) Alternate Universe with future knowledge 1 9. Spiderman 2 (March-April 2004) Alternate Universe 1 *10. Elektra (2005) Alternate Universe 2* 11. Spiderman 3 (June-July 2005) Alternate Universe 1 12. Iron Man AND Post Credit Scene of Iron Man (February 2008-May 2008) Before your video I hadn't placed _The Fantastic Four_ Tim Story films or the 2015 film. I was going to wait until the upcoming version, but I trust your placements. Those five movies I can understand being part of The MCU, even if _Wolverine vs Deadpool_ didn't exist. I need more connections than just muscle in the background before I would put The Punisher movies on my canon to The MCU list, though. So I'll wait to see how they work. Thanks for this.

The thing (heh) about the mistake regarding Ben Grimm's age in Fant4stic is that it makes sense why its there once you realize the '86 date is Jamie Bell's actual birthday, which is the actor playing Ben in the movie. The production/prop department must've thought it would be a cheeky reference but clearly nobody stopped to think it through at all when it comes to what it would mean, chronology-wise.

Ah! Okay, that explains it then. I would never had guessed that was his birthday, since Jaime is playing a character that can't be much older than 19 in the movie, so the fact that he was in his late 20's when the movie was filmed is wild.

Honestly, if these other Marvel movies had been more successful (especially the Fox ones), I fully believe they would have tried to make a mini Marvel Cinematic Universe. Probably would've given Bullseye his Adamantium coated skeleton, too.

Right off the bat, you're making me want to give some of these old movies a chance (except Punisher because I've seen it). It's been so long since I saw the Fantastic Four movies I feel like I'm seeing easter eggs for a brand new movie. But yes please give us a Thomas Jane appearance, I need to see that man on the big screen. But I will always recommend people check out Dirty Laundry because it's so good. Interesting to note that both Frank and his wife were born the same year? That or someone just copy and pasted the years. Didn't realize Mystique's actress was in the Punisher film ... crazy. This question is just for fun; Considering you've already done the X-men movie timeline, and that I havent seen the Thomas Jane Punisher movie in forever, do you know if there's anything date-wise or plot wise in Punisher that would make it impossible for Rebecca Romijn's character to literally just be Mystique in disguise? Because in X-2, she's shown to use her "human self", who is just her without the Mystique make-up, as a disguise, so maybe, if the dates line up, and nothing in the Punisher movie contradicts it, we can just headcanon Mystique had a mission in Tampa that weekened in-between running errands for Magneto. Sounds like something that would happen in a comic to just casually insert a guest character from another big title for a couple issues lol

That would be epic if it was Mystique in the Punisher movie. So if we date the Last Stand in 2006 (which many fans do), then it definitely works fine, as she would be appearing in between X2 and Last Stand. If we date Last Stand in 1999 (I'm becoming more convinced of that placement), then it would be after she lost her powers in Last Stand, so it means she went to live a normal life and that's when she showed up in the Punisher movie. Very cool!

the scene that u was talking about with stick and elektra according to the movie novelization on page 16: hidden training camp - "before she'd died and come back, Elektra natchios had trained with a number of sensei, and she had learned their crafts well. at camp where she ended up after her stomach wound had finally closed and healed (mostly) and her body had regained it's strength, she learned even more about the art of fighting. additions to her fighting repertoire included the bo---long staff---eskrima sticks and nunchaku, the whip and the kukri, along with the weapons and skills of dozens of other disciplines. like the other students, Elektra pulled her hair back in a headband, dressed in white, and trained with others like herself----but not nearly as skilled --daily. she lived with them, ate with them, fought with them. but she was never quite one of them, never a part of the subjective family existence and camaraderie that the others seemed to share simply by virtue of being there with each other." (btw i think that was a typo because it says "before" instead of *after) it also goes on and makes the deleted matt Murdock scenes canon and more in depth. also, in Elektra official movie tie in comic - Elektra: on the rise (that takes place after the movie) it leads up to the opening of the Elektra movie with an alternate plot and in daredevil (2003) movie tie in comic daredevil straight up impales bullseye and toss him out the window and bullseye is presumed dead. it's an alternate ending and it's mentioned that he's dead in that exclusive and rare - Elektra on the rise, movie tie in comic; which is confirmed by daredevil = "now bullseye's dead, kingpin's in jail and every criminal organization in the city is rushing to fill the Vold" however, in daredevil's official movie tie in novel it's the same as the movie bullseye is alive, so take it as u will it's all up in the air on whether he's alive or dead.

I wonder how many of these non-MCU movies can actually be in the same shared universe. I'm reminded of Quinten Reviews for the Nickelodeon Sitcom Universe, and man things get pretty nuts. The mention of the actors playing mutants on that Magezine is very reminiscent of what would later happen in the NSU where characters, the real actors who play those characters that have shows on televisions, and fictional versions of those actors playing those characters all exist within the same universe. So just as an example Nathan Kress plays Freddie on iCarly. Well, iCarly is also a show other kids watch in that universe, but at the same time, the character of Freddie could show up at anytime in another show, too. And then there's the Nathan Kress who plays Freddie in the iCarly show that is on TV within the universe, which means that there are three Nathan Kresses out there, but one just goes by Freddie. So an X-Men movie may actually be in the works during Fantastic Four, and the actors who play those characters also just so happen to look just like the Mutants they are making a movie about. It's possible that Daredevil and Electra also take place in this same New York as X-Men and Fantasic Four as the events of Daredevil take place before the Fantastic Four movie, and then Electra takes place in a different part of the world anyway. Same can be said for Thomas Jane Punisher and Man-Thing with one in Florida and the other in Mississippi. Blade also takes place wherever the plot demands. Hulk also takes place Southwest away from everyone. There's nothing supporting these connections, but also nothing refuting them either, it's not like the concept of monsters or folks with superpowers is laughed off, these things happen in the world these characters live in. There were also plans to have Fant4stic take place in the same universe as the rebooted X-Men after Days of Future Past, and thanks to your excellent videos exploring those timelines, perhaps when Wolverine is sent back to the 70s, that effects different people with the same names as the Fantastic Four and all associated persons, and the ones from the earlier movies just never cross paths. Basically, I'm asking for a super timeline that actually connects everything non MCU from Balde onward as a fan theory. There may be some outliers, I still haven't seen everything yet, and I imagine the Spiders may cause some problems, so they could be kicked out, but I bet we there's a way to make it work.

I always like to think that the Tim Story F4 movies and the FoX-Men movies, are set in the same universe, with the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie, Elektra 2005, and Thomas Jane's Punisher and Dirty Laundary are set in the Raimiverse. I also like to think Defender Strange from MOM is from the Raimiverse. Josh Trank F4 is just in its own separate continuity entirely, though. Also, i hope Wade kills the Josh Trank F4 in DP&W.

Yeah, I like the idea of those films sharing the same universe as well. I think alot of people consider them connected for the reasons you mention. And I'd definitely be down for Deadpool killing off the Josh Trank F4. That movie just didn't work. Although it would be fun to see Miles Teller join a "council of Reeds" as a counterpoint to the council of Kangs at some point.

Awesome video I’d absolutely love to see you go through other marvel movies and do the same thing. Though I was a little surprised you didn’t use the connections to other movies to help place them. Punisher for example has to be pre 2004 cuz he shows up in a blink and you miss it scene in Spider-Man 2 I believe, though it could be Spider-Man 1. Fan4stic was planned to have a cameo in one of the Deadpool’s and Reed turned into Wolverine in a deleted scene of the first fantastic four movie. And then of course there’s the questionably probably not canon new Spider-Man animated series that has kingpin and is connected to the Raimi movies. Also 21:03 might wanna double check your slides lol. No worries though still a great video.

OMG...that X-men slide is hilarious. How did I not notice that! lol! But, as for Punisher showing up in the Tobey movies, my understanding was that it was his stunt double and not Thomas Jane himself and that it wasn't a sanctioned appearance, so I didn't mention it. Plus, the timelines for Punisher and Spider-Man seem very clear, so if that pseudo appearance were to mess up the timelines (it might not, as I haven't checked yet) then I wouldn't want to have the clear timeline indicators get overridden by that non-canon appearance (even if it was pretty cool). As for Reed turning into Wolverine, that doesn't help with the timeline placement, per se, but it does perhaps mean the universes are connected. But it's telling that they axed that from the movie and thus it became an infamous deleted scene instead. But yeah, lots of fun to put these type of vids together. I'll get to work on more soon!

@@AbitofEverything4U Totally fair on all other counts but with the Punisher cameo, I looked into this further and did some more research, as it turns out I think this was far more complicated and far more intended to be a crossover then I thought. The DVD commentary apparently talks about this, where raimi (supposedly I havent seen the commentary myself so feel free to fact check me here) states that he made plans to get Thomas janes punisher to appear, however plans fell through since they're different studios. But it was so important to raimi that even though he got denied he still did everything he could to make it work anyway, so he got the stunt double. This seems more of a "we need to make these universes connected, even if we're not technically allowed to" and less of an "oh lets just throw this guy in the movie" from my understanding. So no it's not "sanctioned" by both studios, but was absolutely intentional and wanted very much by raimi. Dont know if it interrupts the timeline, just that punisher would have to come before spider-man 2 but personally raimis vision for this movie trumps what studios approve imo. Very cool! Thanks for sharing all that. Yeah, I love the idea that they could be connected and it sounds like at least from Raimi's standpoint he wanted it to happen. Whether we should consider it to be canon is a different question, but I think it's cool either way. But I don't know that it means that the Punisher movie has to be before Spider-Man 2, since we just see the Punisher standing there in street clothes, but it could be that it was before or after the Punisher movie. Or perhaps I'm not thinking correctly about it? Love all your feedback on this!

One thing I would like to add in case you decide to make a timeline of Nicolas Cage's Ghos Rider, According to a comment on the film, there is an 8-year difference between the 2007 and 2012 films. The filming was around December 2010 and in the movie a character says Merry Christmas. There is also a European magazine "Casa Mea" that came out in December 2010/January 2011 That would place the first film in 2002 and the second in December 2010.

Damn, I'd really like to be on your server again. I was watching old Marvel movies and there are some things to note in their timelines, for example, the 1979 Captain America movie has a calendar with 29 days which places it between 1976 or 1980. Also the Spider-Man TV Series from the 70s has curious details, in the last 2 episodes that look like a 2-hour movie, Peter mentions that "I have worked at a newspaper for the last year", which makes the events of your series occurs within 2 years. In the Night of the Clones episode there is a notebook from Peter that places the events in late May 1978. Which could suggest that the entire series takes place between April 1977-End of 1978. I've also been watching some of the Incredible Hulk series and its TV movies, in the 1988 Detective Jack McGee mentions that he's been chasing the Hulk for about 4 years. In the series there are some dates from 1978 and 1981 in some episodes such as married or the first. I would really appreciate it if you could unban me from your server, I would really like to discuss that and more about the Marvel movie timeline.

Don't know how this factors into anything but I'd like to mention both the Daredevil/Elektra movies and the Thomas Jane Punisher are connected to the Raimi Spider-Man Universe tangentially, because the MTV 2004 Spider-Man animated show, which is a non-canon direct sequel to the first Raimi Spider-Man movie (which only became non-canon once Spider-Man 2 came out and contradicted it, because otherwise the show was supposed to be a direct sequel), features Michael Clark Duncan reprising his role as Kingpin and being a main villain in one episode (maybe more, but for sure at least one). And, in Spider-Man 2, in the scene where Mary Jane runs through central park in her wedding dress, you can see her run past a guy dressed in black looking at her, which people thought was actually Thomas Jane for years, but is actually Thomas Jane's stunt double from the Punisher movie, who was put there deliberately to tease his and Spidey's movies were connected and could possibly crossover in the future, which sadly never happened, but, for all intents and purposes, that is SUPPOSED to be Thomas Jane's Punisher in Spider-Man 2.

I really hope the 2000s fantastic four returns in some capacity in deadpool 3 or secret wars. The casting was so good for the team. I especially loved the thing, he was absolutely perfect and his cheesiness would be so funny in the mcu. Also ioan gruffolds reed Richards was really good and it would be cool to see him interact with the other geniuses is the mcu

It would be cool if Chris Evans did return for Deadpool and Wolverine, but who knows. It is likely though, as Chris Evans did appear in Free Guy for a cameo, and it is the same director. So hey, maybe that connection will lead him to having another cameo here as Human Torch. I would love that version of The Thing to return, but I think the actor confirmed he isn’t in the movie.

Another question, is it true that there's an Easter egg of Thomas Jane as The Punisher at the end of Spider-Man 2 (in the scene where Mary Jane is running in her wedding dress)? Great suggestion...I really do need to take a look at the games that connect to the mid-2000's movies. One thing that makes it tricky is finding sceencaps to make the video, but I bet if I dig hard enough I can find them. I was asked about the Blade 2 game when I did the recent vid on Blade, in fact. So it's definitely a topic of interest. As for the Punisher easter egg in Spider-Man 2, my understanding is that it was actually his stunt double, but that it was still a sneaky way to drop in an easter egg in case they wanted to try to bring the two characters into a movie together at some point. Really bummed they never did that, but I think it's a connection that we fans can make, even if the studios never codified it. I can't see any reason (yet) to expect it but some others I think might show up in Deadpool & Wolverine (or Secret Wars) are Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider,Eric Bana Hulk,Lou Ferigno Hulk and Wesley Snipes Blades. Snipes denies this but if hes under an NDA he kinda has to! But I think the likelihood is low because I think this movie is focusing on just stuff specifically from Fox. I think these are more likely Secret Wars cameos if they happen at all.

This movie is so interesting. IIRC, FOX never owned the rights to Punisher movies, so for the Russian to be part of Nova's menagerie? I wonder if we'll see teases for the rest of the non-MCU movie franchises yet to appear in the trailers (Howard the Duck, Men in Black, Blade, Ghost Rider and Big Hero Six). Maybe even easter eggs for the movie franchises spawned from Marvel comics that Marvel has no rights to anymore (Red Sonja, Kingsman and Kick-Ass).

What an interesting point about the Punisher movie. I wonder if Marvel ultimately owned the rights to the characters and that's why they can use them? I need to check into that. The chapter gives a year of 1984 being the year when Matt becomes blind, given that he’s 12 Matt was born in 1972 and the current year of the movie/book is 2003. The book also says that Thriller by Micheal Jackson is playing just about everywhere which would have been released 2 years ago. Matt says he feels like the Silver Surfer while riding his skateboard, this most likely means that the Silver Surfer is a fictional character within the movie same with the Fantastic Four. The book claims that it’s Spring and a Saturday, Spring tends to be considered March, April and May. New York schools let out June 26th (based on the 23-24 school year), and report cards are handed out March 6th (based on the 23-24 school year). Matt is going to his fathers work with a report card in hand on the day of the accident, meaning the date Matt got blinded was most likely March 10th, 1984. While Looking for his father at the pier the supervisor says that Jack hasn’t worked there for months.

I heard someone talking about an alternative synopsis Spirit of Vengeance which is mentioned that it was almost 10 years after the first film, I also heard a fan who explained how Ghost Rider could fit into the MCU and there he said that the events of the Second film were close to Age of Ultron if it took place in the same chronology

I assume the invite screw up might have been something that happened during shooting. Kinda like the calendar continuity error in Daredevil season 2. And you would be surprised how many people respond saying she's not in the movie. So for now, I'm considering it to be a rumor. But I do feel the trailer all but confirms it. Great question...my guess is that all of the villains in the void are variants. I mean Lady Deathstroke was killed in X2, Toad was killed in the first X-men movie, Pyro was presumed dead in the DoFP movie, etc. So my guess is that they will explain that the X-Men timelines are all branches and thus we are seeing variants that were pruned in the void. Let me know if that sounds like a viable answer. It's a great question you posed!

Good question...I think they are canon to the greater multiverse and are each set in their own alternate universe. I think they are all showing up in the void as it seems there is one void for the entire multiverse. So the void is the multiversal dumping grounds if anyone is pruned.

@AbitofEverything4U this conversation has me thinking, maybe the movie isn't that bad, the end credits let you know the train wreck is over and that you can instantly forget everything that happened in the movie, the whole thing is a fever dream, and it really disappointed me because I love Elektra, she's one of my favourite characters. The best kind of movie for her would be a grounded ninja movie where she is hired to take down a criminal network or something like that, but the key word should he "grounded". Garner could have pulled that off with a decent script, and another problem is, back then comic movies weren't treated with the respect they are given nowadays, so allot of the movies made back then, there was no passion or love put into them, and allot were made with the assumption that comics were just for kids too. If Elektra was made now I'm sure it would get the respect it deserves.

I agree 100%...if Elektra were made today it would have been awesome and Garner seemed to really get the role and she would have been great if given a good story. Bummer that we got the movie we got. But if she does appear in DP&W, maybe she gets a cool action scene and can restore the character abit. Fingers crossed!

With all due respect I hope Chris Evans does not return as human torch there is a reason why he doesn't acknowledge his time as human torch at Comic-Cons

Interesting...when he was interviewed recently he seemed to speak fondly of his time as the Human Torch. But I suspect that that's more recent and that for many years he probably wanted to forget about those movies so he could focus on being Captain America.

From everything I've seen in all the promo images for comic-con's he only highlights his time as Captain America and being Lucas Lee and Scott Pilgrim versus the world

Hmmmm...if you google Chris Evans Human Torch, you find articles like this: ca.movies.yahoo.com/sign-chris-evans-play-human-190045558.html. In it, he said: “God, wouldn’t that be great?” Evans told MTV News when asked about playing Johnny Storm/Human Torch again. “Wouldn’t that be great? No, no one’s ever come to me about that. I mean, I don’t exactly look the same anymore. That was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I’m old. But I really love that character, but I think … aren’t they doing something now with Fantastic Four?” So it seems he liked his time as the Torch and would do it again.
