The tank in the motor room is likely to be part of a liquid resistance motor starter to start a large wound -rotor motor and run it up to speed. noice...reminds me of when I were an apprentice. heh.

What an insane place! Such a shame to see such pretty buildings turn into rubble, such beautiful old machinery to dust. Maybe it's inspired by the ferns and rhododendrons in the buildings, but imagine one would put transparent roofs on the sheds, what wonderful greenhouses they'd be. Wales is pretty warm by itself on average, I guess that would be a good place for growing tropical fruits or similar near home markets. There's loads of water there, just tap into the natural supply!

It is a shame to see it like that, the buildings will just continue to decay I guess. The only interest is companies making use of the scrap slate in the area.

I was doing ok on my fitness but let it slip, Im defo back on it now because I really need to go back to this place, the underground bit is so big it needs another visit. doing some track riding on a bicycle with a mate when his collar bone is better, he had a bit of a crash.
