Frank, Dad always admired your determination and courage. I certainly worry about your safety exploring these mines with the risks involved ...but you are right....we should be free to make our own choices, in life and death. Re yr loss, Frank: my condolences. C took my daddy (shortly after his 68th bday) awa his folks. Sadly, our end-of-life laws are far from enlightened; therefore, he suffered, wishing for death, before his Rest came. I'm a firm proponent for Freedom of Choice -- may we someday have it. That said, thx 4 a peek inside a corner of this colorful, hazardous mountain-range, & a glimpse of the gorgeous surrounding landscape as well. Stay safe & take care. SRW.

I stopped the video after you were talking about your dad to make this comment, then I will finish watching. My mother was diagnosed with rapid onset dementia when she was only 53 ( her mother had it and died at 36). After just a couple of years, she went from a highly intelligent special education teacher of 23 years, to pretty much an invalid. Even though she couldn’t speak anymore at this point, I could see in her eyes all the pain and torment she was enduring. I would have helped her end her life if she could have expressed that wish, and if I am ever diagnosed with that horrible condition, I won’t hesitate to end mine before I am unable to. My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad, I’m sure he was a great man.
@barbararobinson79805 жыл бұрын
I guess the company will find this footage quite helpful Frank especially as you explore every area, even those places that are not as stable. I always appreciate seeing those scenic shots. It was scary watching you make your way down with the rope, having to shove all the old wood from the ladders down ahead of you; and even more nerve-wracking when you ran out of rope but continued making your way down using the stulls. There were some lovely rock formations and colours. What you poured out of your boots didn’t look too good though. Thank you for sharing what you do, it is amazing. Sending you and your family deepest condolences on the passing of your dad, I agree that a person should have the right to choose how their life ends under such circumstances. It was amazing to learn his age when he went with you on an explore and wasn’t bothered a bit by going into the mine even though he had to manage with your boots it didn’t faze him at all. Take care and be safe. ❤️❤️

Frank, as someone who works in healthcare, I think your comments on assisted dying hit the nail on the head and were beautiful. I couldn’t agree more. Their whole debate revolves around the sanctity of life but they completely deny there being such a thing as the sanctity of death. At the end of the day, we’re just walking chemical reactions that have gained the ability to perceive the world and self. The chemical reactions in all of us stop some day, so I truly believe that people should have the right to decide how they ride out of this world - they’re the ones actually perceiving it.

Great Video !! Lots of mineralization there with iron and pyrites, quartz and some interesting contact zones. There some indicators they might find it could be profitable. Thank you for an awesome tour on this level and I'm holding my breath waiting to see the next adventure. My deepest condolences, but I'm glad you could tell us a bit more about your dad and his decision to go out before he was in horrible pain and just a skeleton hanging on to existence. That's too nasty to contemplate for me also. I like the idea of being able to chose the manner and the time at which I decide to go. As miserable as my mom was when she was getting eaten up by cancer and spent her time in bed just wasting away while being in horrible pain, I know I don't want that for myself. I'd rather sit down with some spiked ice cold beer and fade off into the sunset. I apologize if this is upsetting, and I wish you many long years exploring.
