Great video! Loved your witty humor throughout this breakdown. Exposé is awesome for all the reasons you mentioned. But you explained it in a way that never crossed my mind, even after watching the show countless times; the episode re-contextualizes all of Nikki and Paulo's scenes up to that point, as well as their absence in the first three seasons. Retroactively, those dumb and seemingly pointless scenes we got from them become a little more tolerable because this episode takes the time and effort to reveal they've been off doing other things. This also provides some meta commentary on the way the show is written; the main characters are always off on their own adventures, discovering major secrets and never telling anyone about the things they found... For instance, Paulo knew that The Others had plans to kidnap Jack, Kate and Sawyer, but he never warned them?! Like any other character on the show, he simply doesn't want to reveal his own dirty secrets. But moments like that also reveal a little more about things we otherwise would have never learned. Hearing Ben telling Juliet that he plans to use Michael is huge - Michael hadn't even left at that point. This would mean that Ben had an escape plan in mind before even getting captured by Rousseau. Intriguingly, this scene happens to take place on the day Michael receives a chat message from "Walt"? Hmm. Lots of small, but clever details like that are what makes this episode so entertaining, but also valuable and fun to rewatch.

It was a good episode, but the beginning of your video reminded me for the first time ever that Nikki and Paulo werent in the flashsideways

Lost was amazing but it was also unrewatchable from the moment finished watching it. Once you know, the mysteries gone or left unanswered, it's just doesn't work anymore.

Everyone loves Rose and Bernard, but it doesnt seem realistic that they would want to go to the Pearl station like Nikki and Paulo.

Exposé pisses me off but not for the reason you might think. I don’t like how they killed off Nikki and Paulo. I think lost is a great show, but there are so many other survivors that just don’t do anything. It feels like the entire world revolves around the 20 main people on the island and it’s really annoying. I was so happy when Nikki and Paulo were introduced because it was new main characters that were other survivors. It was fresh and then to kill them off a few episodes after their introduction just really annoyed me. That being said I still do like exposé as an episode. I just hate how Nikki and Paulo were handled

They had all that prior setup for nothing which just pissed me off. Especially after I was so excited to see what happened after the episode before being so good just for this shit. It was fine but kind of a waste of time to watch really
