I quote a KZbin comment criticizing Jeff's reasoning behind not reviving McJones in MC HC #6, an instance where I was actually joining in on the negativity? Somebody says that the commenter "can suck a fat one" (paraphrased) and zeros in on a part of the comment that was beside the point. I just couldn't take it anymore. The only subject they seemed chill about were their own fan HCs, which, as you can probably imagine, were far less mistake-ridden than PBG's and, as a result, far more boring (imo).

Best boss in any game imo, I can't explain how cathartic the soundtrack is from start to finish for that fight. chaotic dnb to buidling synth to what sounds like a triumphant march as you body him lol.

Sorry to be commenting on a 3 year old video, but recently your channel was recommend to me again cause I didnt even know you still made videos til KZbin showed me you again, so ive been watching all your videos new and old. That said I agree with this video heavily. For me I love the original way more. I even specifically mean the ds version. While I still love solo and final remix its not the same. I am terrible at the combat in the original... well not terrible, but damn could be better. My point is though with that I love how the game did it. It works so well with the plot. Especially cause lets tale the characters. Shiki is probably the second easiest to use, but feels hard at first cause its new, Joshua is the easiest to use cause put simply hes the strongest. Joshua and his moves do some much and his board for fusions is the simplest. This i dont think is supposed to reflect Neku getting better with people, but just showing how sttong Joshua actually is. Then we have Beat imo the hardest. While its just matchingit requires the most focus to make everything line up, but at this point of the game you understand the game a lot more, so it seems so easy and quick. Now this is wjere I see the gameplay reflects Neku getting closer and better at working with people cause the player is getting better at the gameplay. Also people who say the ds gameplay is hard can do what I did my first playthrough when I was 13 or something like that. AUTO BATTLE. It might be hard to get fusion that way, but I beat the whole game on hard. Now its definitely more fun learning that combat, but its not a road block if you do. The remixes kinda just make them other pins and thats meh imo, but man does that lead to my next point of why I love the first game more than neo. The story. I can definitely agree it doesnt really have much story til the end, but like how you said cause most of the game was focused on Neku's growth. Especially cause how much that growth meant at the end of the game. This makes me love the characters far more than any character in neo. The game means a lot more to me than neo and Ive played a lot more of it than I have of neo. Ive literally 100% the ds version. Mastery of pins and everything. Did mostly everything in the switch version, but only like 60% mastery cause damn forgot how hard that is lolol. With all this said I think Neo itself is still amazing. Sadly for me Neo ive played like twice and didnt even do all the extra stuff cause the combat while fun gets annoying at times and some of the extra stuff gets hard for me. Stroywise though while Id say its weaker cause what got me to love the original is the characters, I still think Neo has a great story and I love a handful of these characters (SHOKA MY BELOVED) zI also like how its not just the same game. It shouldnt be. I like how returning characters have different roles and most characters are new showing a different perspective on how these games can turn out. I even love the fact how it starts. Like damn this game master is bringing in alive players is crazy! I have a lot more I can say, but it can become spoiler territory, so just in case someone else is going to watch a 3 year old video and they havent played the games imma nit do that lolol.

I love TWEWY. Ever since Dream Drop Distance came out I had to get my hands on it and got it a few months after. I wasn't there before Kingdom Hearts, but damn this game means a lot to me. Genuinely happy KH had TWEWY characters, because if it didn't I wouldn't have found one of my favourite games ever. I didn't know how much it was changed, but God I love what we got. It actually saved my life. If it wasn't for this game I'd probably not be the same person, hell might not even be around.

Can't believe you did not talk about the gameplay changes. The postgame threads in international version are absolute horseshit, requiring Bravery that you will never achieve outside of grinding. It's so stupid that when you find Beat's backpack in postgame, he will likely be unable to re-equip it due to how grossly inflated the requirement is. In Japanese? 260 (on the Maid Costume), that's it. Perfectly achievable if you aim for 100%; they still follow the rule of "how much guts would you need to wear this" rather than some weird game reason of "lol postgame equipment needs high requirements".
