I don't know about this group, but there are quite a few "ministries" who only broadcast outside of their area. In this way, they can seek donations from people who can't visit or check on the group. There was a fellow calling himself, Rev. Al who had a studio to tape his messages in Fresno. Like many he only bought time on stations far from his "church". A couple of things about Rev. Al and his "church" It was a compound surrounded by Fences and barbed wire. Only members of his family were included in the taping of the services. Pictures of the large number of worshipers were shot at other locations, when he went out on Revivals. His compound had it's own zip code, because of the amount of mail they received and sent out. Mostly donations coming in, and appeals for support going out. Most locals in Fresno had never heard of Rev. Al before he died, he wanted it that way, so he could make claims that could not be substantiated in the days before the Internet.

They (Doc and Robin) have a demonic way of making you NEED their approval, and WANT more than anything for them to like you, to love you. When I was a member there, I was on the praise team. After we practiced, we prayed. The worship leaders asked if anyone needed prayer. One girl said she needed prayer. The reason? "I don't think Pastor Robin likes me." When I heard that, something hit me so deep that I started to cry. Like my worst fear was spoken. I sobbed so hard I went down to the floor. It was only when I opened my eyes that I saw that every single member of the praise team, including middle aged men (!) were on the floor sobbing with me because they all felt the same way. IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN A MEMBER THERE, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING IS TRUE!! I beg you to free yourself from that gutter. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.

Doc and Robin visited my old church when I was a teenager. My parents made me take imi courses when I was homeschooled. Imagine being 16 and forced to listen to tape after tape of 3-4 hours of preaching per take and then write a report on it! I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy! I know alot of people who left the church, a few being staff members. Lots of rumors about financial fraud and money embezzlement as well

I went here when I was younger because my grandma would make me go. My grandmother was blinded by these people. I do know that "pastor/doctor Harfouche went to jail. He went to jail for not speaking out about a child being molested. Either the child or the child's mother went to him in private and he didn't a alert authorities. My grandmother finally came back to the light and stayed noticing things like her book on witchcraft that pretty much tells you step by step how to become a witch. Also another book that had half naked pictures of her in it that she willingly published. This place needs to be shut down.

I attended 2 or 3 services in 2003 while my family were in Pensacola to visit this church (they drank the Kool aid and actually ended up moving there a year later to become members, I DID NOT). During one service my family and I were called down to the front to be prophesied and prayed over. I was the last one in line of the 6 of us and the only one who did NOT fall back instantly when he touched my head, because I was not buying any of it. He spent what felt like forever pushing on my head, praying and yelling and speaking in tongues until I was bawling my eyes out and finally just crumpled to the floor. They portrayed it as the holy spirit entering my body but honestly it was out of embarrassment and not wanting to be there or in front of everyone anymore and I knew that he wouldn't move on from me until he got the reaction he wanted. I'm happy to report that even though my family did relocate there to attend that church for years and forked over who knows (I don't want to know) how much money, they finally saw it for what it is and did leave.

According to the Bible, which they claim to preach the requirements to be an Apostle as stated in 2 Corinthians 12 are as follows: 1. Have to be a ‘first-person' eye-witness of the risen Lord Jesus 2. Have to be appointed by Jesus to be an Apostle 3. Have to perform the signs and wonders of an Apostle, such as heal the sick, raise the dead, etc. Therefore, Paul WAS the LAST Apostle.

Truth be told, my wife has been attending an Apostolistic church on Monday and Tuesday nights at a fringe church even though neither of us attended ritualistic Sunday service. To your point, I will say that by looking for more cures, a person will find more cures, for sale. I myself believe in a higher power/bigger purpose in life, even without ever defining my denomination. I say all this because my wife and I had marital problems. Before that I had personal problems that I handle on my own. She started to come to the church I found, without solicitation,that spoke to me without any desire to fix me, but rather to focus my attention on what peace I could be squandering in my life...but then she started attending an apostolistic night church two more days a week. Now she is convinced good fortune is owed to her and my reality is anti prophetic. Long story short, my real, and best friend(s) will tell me the most painful truth, and do it with nothing to gain and possibly something to lose. I love it. I'm a Christian myself, but wrong is wrong. I also don't try to be something I'm not. I'm very fallible and don't pretend to be holier-than-thou. Some other Christians don't like that about me because I'm very "what you see is what you get." I swear, and I love Jesus. It may sound harsh to say but a good bit of the responsibility for the success of such false teachers are people who want to put God in a box. As humans we tend to feel God should be what we perceive as ideal: Never convicting, never demanding contrition, a bit like a genie. The true God of the Bible is beyond what we ask or imagine. He is love and only requires acknowledgement of our own sin and need for Christ as the propitiation of that sin.

To answer your question about where Christian got this doctorate, there is a source that was written in the late 90s that says that Christian received his doctorate from Life Christian University (which is an unaccredited school with very subpart academic standards). Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, and many other televangelists got their doctorates from there. I have been tempted to get one myself just so I could talk about the lack of standards firsthand. Btw, I have an associate degree from IMI that was awarded to me despite the fact that I never completed the coursework (which is mostly answers a series of 3 to 10 questions per section that is based on the topic that was presented in the recording. They even give you verse numbers in the questions that help you find the answer).

I went to that church a couple of times and never felt comfortable there. One night Robin Harfouche told the "protectors" to shut the doors and not let anyone out, because, I guess what she had to say was SO important. But then she started rolling around on the floor and mocking someone and laughing and flailing around on the floor! My young daughter and I got up and left - I told the "protector" at the door "we're leaving and if you try to stop me I will call the police and tell them you're holding me and my daughter hostage!" Needless to say we were allowed to leave. CRAZY place. I believe in miracles and I believe in supporting the church whatever church you call home, but pressuring single moms and sick people to give every penny they have even when they don't have money to pay their power bill is just wrong. They are definitely a cult. "Doctor" Christian looks like a demon with those eyes and crazy looking face. Not to mention he's from Lebanon. I was burned very badly over my shoulders, back, and arms from sitting out in the sun way too long when I was a kid. We are Scottish on both sides of my family, so I shouldn't be out in the sun very long at all, but when you're a kid and you're having fun outside by the pool... I woke up that night with blisters on top of blisters. My aunt tried to put a T-shirt on me but it was so painful that she cut it off, popping blisters as she cut. I told my mom that I wanted to get a blessing, so we went to my 2nd cousin's house and he called a neighbor who came over. They put their hands on my head and gave me a blessing asking God to heal me. It was very simple, very moving, very humble, and very loving. It wasn't on a stage in front of a congregation and performed like a stage act or like a stage hypnotist. It was a simple prayer with their hands on my head and a drop of oil. Only my Mom, my second cousin, and his neighbor were there... and me. Afterward, my mom and I went back to my grandma's (we were visiting for the summer). Grandma had put a sheet over the couch so I could sit there and not worry about blisters leaking onto her furniture. I sat there on the couch with my neck cocked so I could see my shoulders and I sat there frozen and staring. The rest of the family was in the next room watching TV in the den. My mom saw me sitting there and she asked what I was doing. I told her that I had a blessing and I was going to be healed so I was watching to see it happen. She smiled and said it may not work that way, just go to sleep. A while later, I heard a commotion and my siblings make ooohs, and awwwe sounds and I looked up to see a really cool car chase on the TV and I watched it. As soon as the car chase was over the program switched to commercials and my sister walked into the living room and walked right up to me and screamed - LOUD! I screamed because she scared me, and I was crying asking her "What? What?" and she replied, "Your blisters! They're gone!" I looked and sure enough, they were gone. Everyone came running in and they were all amazed that not only did I no longer have blisters, but I was also no longer sunburned, no pain, no nothing. Just clear, natural, healthy skin. Did my church ask if they could use my story or advertise or anything? No, they did not. It was my story and mine to tell when and to whom I choose. So, when I see these chaotic productions on a stage (raised platform at the front of the church where preacher-man sits)I always think they are taking something that is supposed to be sacred and they are treating it like it is common and mundane. It also reminds me of the scripture that says these corrupt preachers "teach for hire and divine for money", and that's exactly what they are doing - performing a "divine act" (or at least it is supposed to be) and they do this in a theatre or carnival-like atmosphere for money because the more "miracles" performed the more people are going to put in their collection plates. Here are some questions I have put together to tell you if you are in a cult (false church) or not: Is your church named after the pastor? Is the success of your church based on the charisma of its pastor? IS your preacher on TV asking for more money to pay for more airtime so they can reach more people so they have even more people to ask for money to pay for airtime so they can buy even more airtime? Do they promise you that if you send money in for the "Lord's work" that you will get blessings, sometimes even financial blessings... and then ask you to send checks to Paula White Ministries (for example). Does your church preach that all you have to do is proclaim that you believe and then you are saved and you aren't required to do anything further because salvation is a free gift? Do they talk about politics or political subjects during the service or as part of the pastor's sermon? Does your church ever suggest what or who you should vote for? Are you made to feel uncomfortable at church because your political views are a little different from others? Does your church constantly talk about this group or that group as being bad and using the Old Testament to sway its congregants to fear or to hold prejudices about them? How often do they talk about Jesus' Sermon on the Mount? Did your preacher say that Jesus COMMANDED that Christians are to love other Christians, or did they tell you that you are to love EVERYONE without condition, including your enemies? (the correct one would be to love everyone, without condition). Were you taught that Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuals? Did you know the words homosexual didn't exist back then and they wouldn't have known what that meant? Did you know that Ezekiel gave the reasons why Sodom (and the other cities of the plains) were destroyed and that the reasons were because the people were arrogant, selfish, unconcerned, had an abundance, and they did not help the poor and needy? Did you know that Jesus used the story of Sodom & Gomorrah as a parallel to a possible future town that might not be hospitable to his Apostles, and therefore agreeing with Ezekiel as to why the cities of the plains were destroyed? That's just a start, an easy way to determine if you are in a Christian church or an Evangelicult cult.

I find the prevailing image we all seem to get of the Church very distressing at times. But I suppose it's all part of the end times were living in. I feel like I saw you laying on the beach today with a few friends .. guy looked just like you! Anyways, I wanted to comment that I had a faith "healing" once. I had to have my growth plate in knee removed when I was 16 because I born with one leg about 5mm longer than the other surgery didn't work correctly waste of time...5mm no big deal just lot of, you guessed it, shoulder and back pain...but nothing I couldn't handle without a lift in my shoe. . So, I was at a church retreat, went up to the front of the Tabernacle "when the spirit was really movin' to see if God could help out ...im a believer I really am but I believe that God provides doctors to do the healin' .... So the pastor tells me to sit down and the people gather around me and the pastor Gran's my legs and holds them out straight....and then everyone starts speaking in tongues. Im shaking. From fear. I start to feel very uncomfortable and just want it to end then the pastor startsaughing and saying "look! God's growing your leg!" And everyone starts to agree with her. Except. I didn't see (or feel) anything. But I quickly start laughing and smiling and thanking Jesus and I stood up and the group would erupt in praises as if I was lame but now can walk again. A true God healing. No offense to God but I went back to the doctor for my follow up and there was no change in my legs so they went in and just shortened my tibia bone and topped it off with a titanium rod and a couple of screws, still securely fitting in my tibia. I also have been PUSHED backwards by pastor Benny Hinn himself at a service in Tulsa Oklahoma one time. I was taking too long to feel the spirit I guess and he didn't want to lose face so he PUSHED hard on my forehead. I laid there for a few million year not knowing how long I was supposed stay there...got up and went home with a whole new understanding of having a PERSONAL relationship with God.

I had a similar experience once with the shove to the forehead. I stepped back to maintain my balance (my thinking being if God's going to "slay me in the Spirit" then he certainly doesn't need any help from a man) only to hear the words, "don't resist the Holy Spirit, brother." I was a young and trusting Christian at the time and that was a devastating statement to have to hear from a well-respected visiting dignitary. Everyone else appeared to go down like a felled tree (with catchers behind) so I really thought I'd failed God and burst into tears on my pastor's chest. Later, I asked some of those who had gone down if it was really God. One said "yes", but the others all said they just "went along for the ride." Hmmmmmm...

I speak as one who was born-again at 14 years old, got a Bachelor of Theology from Multnomah School of the Bible, and was a missionary in Europe for many years. I am now an atheist, primarily because I finally figured out that if there was a God, he would not torture the vast majority of decent human beings for eternity, because they chose not to believe in Christianity (whether they had heard of Jesus or not) during an average lifetime of, say, 70 years. And that we are not born with a "sin" nature, and need a blood sacrifice to cleanse us from a few wrong decisions. Anyway, I give props to Holden for exposing the absolute worst hypocrisy of evangelical Christianity, namely these prosperity/healing preachers. But please guard against the feeling "we are the decent, loving Christians". Because most of you (80% by some accounts) voted for Trump, and still support him in lockstep, who is arguably one of the LEAST Christian presidents we have ever had. And Trump now has Paula White painting a veneer of Christianity on his presidency as well. I now believe that the prosperity/healing preachers, and the regular decent average American evangelical are STILL part of the same spectrum. You still believe in Hell, and though you might sugarcoat it, those who don't share your belief are going there. I began to live life without any God (gods) at the age of 61, and ten years later, my life is more fulfilled, and I feel more content, than at any time I was a "born-againer". I highly recommend it.

It especially made me upset to see how people that were sick and needed help were taken advantage of. We had a lot of family stuff going on and just left from there disappointed. My wife had a stroke when she was 28, leaving her hemiparuplegic. A couple of doctors told her she would need a wheelchair for go out for the rest of their life, the wheelchair went straight into a cupboard on her going home from hospital and never used again. Unfortunately she is a fully paid up member to the church of atheism. As someone who does suffer from profound pain in my lungs I can tell you exactly where it hurts to the point of closing my lungs down. I’m on 50mcg Fentanyl, 3600mg Gabapentin, 75mg Amitriptyline, Lidocaine patches, monthly cortisone injections and Fenbid cream just for my pain. Add that to all my extreme asthma medication such as a nebuliser 4 times a day, ciclesonide at 4x maximum dose, carbacistiene, simbicort 400, bricinyl, montilukast, antihistamine and finally all my extras like Statins, lansoprasol, nystan. Where can I meet these people? I’d be a guinea pig for you...though I'm not allowed fly from the U.K...and of course you will need to sort out the health insurance!

My father, an ordained minister would like to offer a comment. "I just viewed a video my son shared with me. In 1998 I left full-time ministry when my wife was brought to Pensacola for emergency medical care for a critical stroke. On someone's recommendation, my wife and I visited this ministry previously known as Miracle Faith Center. We found the services at their original location near Pensacola State to be inspiring with the presence of the Holy Spirit and the teaching was biblically sound. Shortly after my wife and I came to the conclusion that something was off. One night my wife went up for healing and wasn't. Shortly after the leadership asked us to leave or sit in the back out of camera view. I emailed my mentor Pastor Mahesh Chavda, who has minister in over 100 countries. He agreed with me that we shouldn't go back to that church. Having seen your video I agree with the vast majority of what you said. However, there are many circumstances in which miracles take place in where medical documentation is not available particularity overseas. I'm speaking in general not specifically pertaining to the Harfouche's. In serving or helping Pastor Chavda. I have personally witnessed miracles, some of which have been documented and some of which were obvious such as a woman with blinding cataracts who's eyes cleared immediately when he prayed for her. I have also witnessed people getting up from wheelchairs with spouses and other family members present who could confirm the severity of the disability. To reiterate, I am in agreement with your conclusions and observation of the Harfouche's, but would encourage you to avoid being solely dependent on physically documentation. I did a clinical residency in pastoral counseling at a VA hospital in Alabama. I saw conditions healed that could be documented by certified psychiatrists and others that had no explanation. The man that was supposedly healed from this false "PROFIT" couldn't even raise his arm all the way up when the false "profit"asked him "does it feel healed now"? A true prophet of God would not have to ask if it feels healed now because a true "PROPHET"of GOD would know that God worked through him and healed that man's arm. This man is not of God.

Know what struck me? Scripture has Jesus saying "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me." If Christians are following in Jesus' path, should they not also aspire to help uplift people by showing them truth?
