This guy is the reason I don't train in any martial arts. I don't want to kill people by simply asking them for directions but inadvertently exposing them to a Killface. I chose a modest, peaceful life over a 10th dan (I would have to beat Master Ken in kumite to attain his 11th, so that was always out of the question). The crippling guilt would be to much to bear. There's civilians and there's agents of death, with nothing in between.

Reminds me of possibly a real story. A warrior was legendary for having beaten everyone that ever challenged him, but he retired as a hermit and hadn't been challenged for 10 years. A young man figured this meant he was out of practice, and he could make a name for himself. He found the legendary fighter and challenged him. That's when the fighter corrected him. Men had been trying the same thing for the last ten years; they just didn't survive the encounter since they were messing up his retirement.

Rare to see Master Ken be so open about his vulnerabilities and weaknesses. As a lifelong master of nothing I was extremely heartened to here him say that literally nothing can stop him. I am probably at least an 11th degree black belt in nothing, and there is no reason I couldn't get even more degrees in my nothing belt. I studied Ameridote for 15 years. I then challenged the world champions of every other style, and not only defeated them, but sterilized them with groin strikes so they could not pass on their inferior fighting style to their children. Eventually, since no one could defeat me, I set out trying to defeat the greatest fighter in the world: Myself. But I am too good. I cannot beat me. Ameridote is the real deal.

Master Ken is a classic case where humor actually serves a very serious purpose. In addition to being very funny, he also has 1M+ subscribers, and he has helped to introduce several martial arts KZbin creators to a much wider audience. I have been following Master Ken for over a decade, and he has introduced me to a variety of excellent KZbin channels (including Jesse Enkamp and Active Self Protection) that I had never heard of before.
