What is really being referred to is the existence of discriminatory laws & policies in South Africa. The Expropriation Act is "code" for property grabbing (an affront to private property rights) with vague, potentially expandable definitions for property that can be expropriated. Policies such as Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) are openly race-based, even in its name. Whether the goals are noble or not, the methods are mired in questionable moral foundations. Although inequality must be resolved, using "reverse-racism" as a solution then calling it something else, will only legitimise the challengers to these policies.
