If anyone asks why there's waning interest in the All Blacks, the Black Ferns is it. The Black Ferns have not only proven they're World Championship pedigree, they prove it on and off the field, with their warm, open attitude towards their adoring fans in NZ. That's a stark contrast to the estranged, convoluted and closed-shop that is All Blacks rugby. Awesome stuff Black Ferns :D

Hardly. There's an enormous gulf in class between the top teams in the women's division and everyone else. It's so bad there are only really 3 teams in it and if they aren't playing in the same tournament then these lopsided spectacles against clearly out of their depth teams like Aussie are going to be yawn fests pretty quickly. Just look at the same criticism levelled against SRP for the same reason. The Aussies have already started abandoning the wallabies and they're far more competitive than the rather pathetic woman's team. Don't expect these crowds to turn out for games like this too much longer if things don't change in a hurry. It's a long time between world cups and the woman's game will have to do a lot if it is to stand on its own merits in between these marquee events.

​@@ozmanosheI was thinking the same thing. Women's rugby does have a big problem in that as you say there are only like three good teams. Literally all other teams are amateurs and the level is very low. Most games are just total blow outs. It's just not competitive. It's going to get boring fast unless they get more teams up to a higher level.

1st try, 130kg of muscle comes storming around the blindside and Aussie blindside flanker Leaney did not want anything to do with the Tank Tanya. Great spectacle, both teams gave their all..the sound of those hits from up in the stands was unbelievable ! Definitely be at the next test match!

Wasn't to long ago our Black Ferns had gone about their way and got a huge wake up call from England & France. Being rocked was probably the wake up call they needed, and a year to get their house in order before the WRWC. Hard decisions had to be made and hard work was what it took. And the results started coming one game at a time. They overcame & adapted to the task at hand, the rest is history. They overcame and conquered all in the best possible way, on the field. The WC final stamped a place for Women's Rugby. Go Wallaroos don't let the Black fern's have it all their own way, make them earn it

Or more likely it's all based around contractual rights. The game was free to air in NZ. Presumably Stans Sports owned the rights in Australia. They provide the highlight package not long after the game then the other party apparently allowed to provide a more extensive package many hours later.
