I feel sad for future generations who won't have role models like Walter Cronkite or David Brinkley, Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Tom Brokaw to guide us thru tough times & celebrate with us as Americans! We r losing far too many heroes, forged from the toughest of circumstances. Character integrity perseverance courage, wit living in a time fading fast 😢❤

Cable TV has given viewers too many choices, so instead of uniting behind just three national anchors, Americans choose hyperpartisan opinion over centrist facts.

Well he certainly was until around 15:18 I only pray this interview happened before they released the actual tapes of what was supposedly an insurrection if this interview happened afterwards then I have to question everything that I have ever seen on mainstream media all the way back to my very first memories. 🥺🥺🥺😢😢 It is a sad day for America and it is a sad day for all mankind.

I feel lucky growing up with journalists like Brokaw. When I joined the Air Force, I took his The Greatest Generation in case I was allowed to have reading material. We were allowed religious and motivational reading. When my security drawer inspection came around, my Training Instructor gave me a demerit for having an unauthorized item. I made my case it was motivational reading, which it highly for me. He laughed at me. If I could have gotten away with telling him off, I would have, but that wouldn’t have ended well. I missed honor graduate by one demerit. It was worth it, as I had more integrity than my clueless TI. Thanks to Brokaw for telling that generation’s story and struggle.

I’m sorry the U.S. Air Force treated this incidence with so much injustice and blindness. It’s easy to see why it would be inspirational a AND motivational reading!

The measure of a man is not the words spoken but the legacy one leaves us with. Tom Brokaw is a legacy, a beautiful, humble and passionate man; we are all better because of Tom. I recall his Eulogy of Nancy Reagan; his friendship with Nancy. There is much I could write but words aren’t enough to describe the feeling Tom Brokaw invokes; truly America’s reporter and a man whose story brings inspiration and joy.

Back when “the big three” were anchoring at the major networks, Tom Brokaw was always my first choice. He never came across as self-aggrandizing, and his reporting was (or at least appeared to be) unbiased. Happy trails Tom!!

How did we get from Tom and Jane to what we have today? We live in a world where the truth doesn't matter anymore. I'm so lucky I lived through the good old days of 80's and 90's. Today we live in the Separated States. What happened when we all lived in piece? I hate Trump for destroying the moral fabric of our society... God Bless you Tom Brokaw! You're a Legend and a role model fot all of us.

We got to this point in our country because political TV stations were formed. CNN, MSNBC and Fox News among others now. Say what you will, but in the old days and still even into the 90s, NBC, ABC and CBS Still to report the news as unbiased as possible. By the turn of the century, the political networks had taken a hold and journalism and our country as a whole was never the same. We went from wholesome content to trash that ruined this country and even the world.

I remember a gag pulled with Tom and David Letterman. Tom was on Davids show the night before. David was at his desk freaking out that he had lost his wallet, then apparently Tom picked up a wallet, looked dowards and dropped the wallet to David at his show. Magically through the floor to Davids studio at the NBC building.😅

My mother fought multiple myeloma, she gave it a good fight, but after three years, it took a turn and she needed blood infusions, one after another, obvious it was beating the very blood that should have helped. It was her time to go, with her kids, 3/4 were there. by her side. We didn't expect the runt of the litter to show his numb bum.
