I think I remember you saying that it was for your daughter Steve but it doesn’t matter who you two are doing a job for it’s always done as though it’s for yourselves. Mind you Alex it’s a good job you were keeping an eye on him when it came to fitting the handles and catches on the gate.

I use an ordinary gate latch attached to a short post next to the fence to hold a gate open. Push the gate open and it automatically latches - no reaching around for the hook. (I'm lazy like that.)

Massive difference to your daughter's garden did you say ? Most people fit the gates to tight i like the gap you left for it to swell nothing worse than a gate that jams .good job Justin brickright 👍

Steve you mentioned at the end you gained 10ft by extending the fence out towards the grass verge. Was the grass verge part of the land to the house then? Fantastic job really smart finish 👍 good job Alex was there to spot the hinge 😁😉 Excellent craftsmanship as always gents 👍👍👌💪👊🤙✅💯

This may be too personal a question to answer, but how was the boundery of the property extended on to what I assume was common land. By the way excellent job as usual, and a very professional Video keep up the good work, I find these days standards are dropping, but thankfully there still exists men with Pride like yourselves.

What was the story with the garden , did the house builder set it out incorrectly and give your daughter a smaller garden than she should have had ? 🙏👍

Who knows they make it up as they go along 🙄 The kerb line is their deed line so we came back about 400 mm to alllow a sight line when they reverse out of their drive . 🧱👍🏽

So wooden gravel boards, not even seated on gravel? no post toppers, i give that fence two years before it`s rotted out.
@SteveAndAlexBuild3 жыл бұрын
I’ll give you an update in 2 years then . Our last house with the identical fence is still there after 18 years . As for the gravel board when it rots you just replace it . 🤷🏼♂️ Pressure treated timber lasts longer than 2 years 🙄
