I like to think that Krell being as powerful an undead as he is is likely rather smart and perhaps even aware of Nagash's eventual return so just uses Kemmler temporarily so he can stick around murdering shit for kicks until he can ditch him for Nagash upon his resurrection.

@@cinder8926 Krell is Nagash's magically inept left hand while Arkhan is his magically expert right. Krell has to have necromancers and vampires raise undead for him and then he can command them. The reason he hangs with Kemmler is because he can raise his personal barrow legion, the chaos wights. Only other necromancer that has done that is Nagash. So as Krell is biding his time for Arkhan to prepare for Nagash's resurrection he stays with and spys on Kemmler since he became chaos' puppet.

I suggest running Danse Macabre with the gheists. 4 winds to give a 100% AP unit +24 MA can have very good results. They all make good use of the speed buff, too.

Im not sure if its in vanilla, but in SFO campaign Ghorst gets like 70m area on the upgraded version. It makes even Zombies into lawnmowers with all his buffs :D

@@IIIJG52 Ghorst has the same "+50% effect range" skill point in vanilla, but I'm guessing they changed Danse Macabre upgraded in SFO if you're hitting 70m area with it.

If he didn´t waste these 2 final transmutations it would have been really tight.

i feel like the final transmutations would have been better used in nuking the weight kings and the units on their positions rather than the elite units and trying to snipe the hexwraiths which while a juicy target, they would be easy to micro out of the final transmutation and are most certainly being kept an eye on so they dont get fumbled with that. mitigating the losses to the units guarding your ranged core is probably the play for the empire in this match up. and your masses of units should make up the difference when the elite units for the vampire come in like the hexwraiths and vargheists. this said theres probably some play around this that will probably depend on builds

I especially like that you are an empire main and are playing the vampires and, correct me if I'm wrong, but your opponent plays a lot of vampire counts and is playing the empire here. Also happens to be my two favorite factions in the game. Wins all around!

Would it be the end of the world if Krell was a summon with infinite duration? Kemmler's far from OP and Krell's a unique and such a cool character it feels so lame he just fizzles out after a couple minutes.

Hoping for the eventual Vamp update that will make that perfect little change. Kemmler without Krell is just a marginally better Necromancer. SFO he is quite a beast though with some of the crazy buffs he has in campaign at least.

Unpopular opinion. We should give the steam tank Karate lessons on how to avoid being chopped. All factions should have one OP units (Like the vampires and their lords) but NOT as op as the old dwarf blimp. If you are gonna nerf the steam tank i would make it so it can't be healed by magic and only by engineers. So basically a cost increase for more hp.

No, still vulnerable against dogs, bats and cav. Best counter against vargheists is fire from free company and huntsmen, with the build Subutai brought it's better to hunker down on two objectives instead of pushing for the third one so you can more easily cover two areas with you ranged assets.

Their MD is quite low for what you pay for them, but in general undead infantry pays for its undead status in combat stats. On top of that they can get a lot of healing, so it's quite fair I think.
