i’m from america and visited my friend in england (who i think may live near you bc lots of the scenery is super similar but it could be everywhere like that lol) but i thought the parking was so small but also lots of people were very good at reverse parking and parallel parking which i felt is less common here. but the spots werent obnoxiously small hahah

I’m from the US and I lived in England for 5 years 2011-2016. The parking space size and the few spaces in the lot was always our biggest complaint! Lol also being from small town America having to pay for parking was awful. But I loved the experience miss Tesco, Sainburys, and all the scones and clotted cream 😁

I’m from the US and the one time I visited England, we rented a car and were SHOCKED by the tight parking spaces and narrow lanes. Took us no less than 25 minutes to get into our first parking spot. I am an American who lived in the UK for a time. You are right the parking spaces are very tiny in the UK. Not only that but the roads in the city and the countyside in the UK are so narrow! I almost have a heart attack when my English father in law drives us along those hedge lined streets at what feels like top speed.

The parking space thing is crazy. When we were in Scotland they kept upgrading us to these big SUVs. probably because we were American, we would drive around searching out parking spots that didn't have cars on either side because otherwise we'd have to crawl out of the back!
