Great makeover and awesome ideas but there were too many, “I had this stashed away” to make it realistic for others to keep to the $100 budget!

Yes, it's really hard to do a $100 bathroom makeover and my biggest tips for budget decorating are buying things used and shopping your own house. But I know that makes it hard for others to reproduce. Hopefully it at least gives a little inspiration for ways to look at things differently.

Beautiful makeover...BUT your title is misleading... several major items are items you had "stashed away"...Fantastic for your bottom line but for those of us looking for inexpensive ways to makeover our bathroom this doesn't help us much. Just my humble opinion...but I appreciate your ideas about looking for items on different marketplaces.

I definitely get your point and I agree as I mentioned in the video, having the light on hand helped tremendously! But most of the rest of the room truly was on a very small budget. The $100 includes the paint for the vanity, the wood for the wall, the paint for the shower, materials for the shelves, etc. And most of what was stashed away was originally purchased very cheap secondhand, like the $5 mirror. I think many of us probably already have items on hand we can use to update a space and using what you have is one of my biggest budget decorating tips!

Right! I immediately was thinking the average person wanting to upgrade doesn’t have bathroom fixtures just “tucked away”

The cost is misleading because even though you have these things 'tucked away, waiting to be used' when you initially bought them they cost $$$ money. They weren't free. You should include what something cost when you bought it, regardless of when it was used.

That's a great point. Most of the things I already had were super cheap yard sale finds to begin with - the mirror was $5, the drawer pulls were 50 cents each, and the faucet was $15. But yes, it does add on to the final total.

You can’t really call this under a $100 make over if almost everything that was used was stashed away we didn’t get to see the fine details to help us get from A-Z

I see what you mean, but snapping things up cheap when you see them is part of the secret to making over a room for super cheap. Most of the things that were 'stashed away' were found incredibly cheap at yard sales and thrift stores like the $5 mirror and $15 faucet. Of course nobody has the same things I do, but most of us do have things around our homes that we can use for free.

Great job! I think many are missing your point of using what you have at home! I was very impressed with spray painting the gold shower doors! Did you paint the inside of the doors also?

Good job. I was wanting to change my shower door as well. I never thought about spray painting it. And it came out great. That saves money and I likes that. 😉

I believe i can do my master bathroom on a remodel for $100 ill have to look up everything and do a video im trying to start a channel to keep my busy so i can move more in life! I loved how urs turned out awesome job! I will be watching more videos for sure ! Thank you

Nice transformation- still grapple with the swap of mirror with medicine cabinet. In a rental in Chicago, so we’ll spray over the silver to refresh and cover the exposed light bulbs. Your vanity color in Persian blue is gorgeous. Thank you for a most helpful video. We appreciate it

Now I have another bathroom. Master bath . It’s twin sink. Huge old mirror like u see in a motel hate it. It’s got water damage on bottom I cover with wall paper border. Awful . It’s got a walk in shower. No door. I don’t like doors. They get nasty. I have a shower curtain that matches bedroom theme. I change my master theme a couple times a year because I can. Shower curtain might not be a problem. I have a marble step that has kind of faded to go into shower. Stool is by the end of sink counter. Small window above stool. Got pictures or ideas ? Cabinets are all oak wood color. Bland tired of it.

I’m copying your bathroom make over. But not this kind of mirror. I’ll find a more plain round mirror without the wood. Good job. I have a tub in my room. Got any ideas for my tub and curtain or enclosure .now I just have a tub shower curtain. Tired of it too. My countertop is same color as yours.

The result is quite homey! But I have to wonder what the space could have looked like if you had kept the gold fixtures (except the lights of course) and painted the wall a color that enhances it -- anywhere from something deep and moody with that blank wall still being painted a lighter color, or to keeping the whole room nice and light but warmed up for giving off a cozy country vibe 😊

Lol, someone else definitely couldn't get these exact same results with $100 without having some things they can use already around the house. But I stand by the point that you can't do a $100 makeover of any room without shopping your own house. 😂

Was the wallpaper on a concrete wall or wood wall?

It was on regular dry wall. Then I added the herringbone wood wall after the wallpaper was down.

How difficult was it to remove the mirror medicine cabinet?

It wasn't too difficult but I did need an extra set of hands. I disconnected the light and then there were four long screws screwed into the wall through the back of the medicine cabinet. My husband helped hold it while I unscrewed everything.
