Gentle reminder that this is not simply a "nesting phase." If you have watched the other two videos, I mentioned that I have been working toward being in a healthy mental space to declutter my home for two or more years - and have been decluttering that entire time. While I have learned to laugh it off and most things don't bother me, as a creator with several mental health struggles that have culminated in a home full of clutter, it can get overwhelming to see all of my (years of) hard work get labeled as as a temporary phase due to the end of a pregnancy. The only real part of this unplanned pregnancy that has affected why I am doing it now is that I know how much harder it will be to do with a newborn around. And for all those wondering when I'm due, March 9 ;) Much love! xo

Kristina you have done an incredible job! Very inspiring. Your bedroom is beautiful and so reflective of all the things that you dearly love. I so enjoy your channel (longtime sub, occasional commenter ;0) I too am a sentimental, vintage loving non-minimalist! I have spent the past few years going through the house and only keeping what I truly love. It has been a very freeing experience. I still adore thrifting but have made myself a promise that if something new comes in than something else goes out. So far it has worked well. Honestly the thrill of thrifting at any of our local stores here in the South Sound has been a bit frustrating as "thrifting" has become the new "trend" which seems to have made prices skyrocket! I did get a few lovely items at V. Village last week (thank you 20% off coupon that I got for donating!) I would love to see more "day in the life" and "de-cluttering" style videos, all of your videos are lovely. I hope that you continue to enjoy the winter months and do remember to put your feet up and take care of yourself. I too have to remind myself that as wife and mother "I cannot fill from an empty cup."

I grew up in the 40's and 50's. My father was a major in WW2 and my mother lived very frugally, being the daughter of a Colonel and army surgeon who traveled the world all through WW1. I've never seen a house quite like this video. Not that I've never gone through stuff and drastically reduced an oversupply. I got into thrifting everything for years and once counted 33 little dresses for my baby daughter hanging in the closet, some of which she never wore. The thinking was, if they are so cheap, and a little is good, then a lot must be better. Also one day I was appalled to not be able to get my fingers between the hangers in my closet. My life changed that day and since then I've kept a grip on what I would call illogical buying. So though stuff was never piled around, I understand the impulse to over-buy. It is a great relief to lean into giving things away in proportion to accumulating more things which in the end don't lead to happiness or fulfillment. In fact, three times in my life I have literally gotten rid of everything so that all my belongings fit into the trunk of a car. Those were the times I felt the most free and realized how little I needed to be fully functional. Yes it's different with children in the picture but if they don't learn a certain sparseness in the home they have a difficult time really grasping financial wisdom in the future. I learned some good useful things in your cleaning and decluttering videos which will come in handy in the future. Emotional attachment to things is certainly real. Since I'm 81 I think a lot about what is worth saving and passing down to my family. Not much! Honestly, my most valuable possession is my Bible.

Great job young lady! I started my journey 2 years ago, if not used in a year, it was donated. I am much older, and I didn't want my retirement to involve daily cleaning, nor did I want my loved ones to go through my things when I am gone. I feel lighter, less stressed, and it's okay to take a break, it's hard to break a habit, especially if just beginning.

Watching you for years, and never have I felt more “connected” with you than in this series. My bedroom and two closets are in the before category. In front of my clothes closet is a mountain of clothes spilling over laundry baskets. Vintage dresser, emotional hoarder, collector of decor and props, and also always a single mom working full time. This winter you are inspiring me to evaluate my entire thought process and do what you have done. My pretty home - but I don’t have people over - my messy bedroom - the piles do not allow me to start a day with calm and confidence. Kristina, let me say first that I have the greatest respect for your efforts to declutter your home. I can imagine how difficult some of the decisions must be for you. In this video you are showing some lovely vintage items like the Remington shaver, the hankies Lady or your collar collection. I know you are trying to get rid of things you don't need or use and this is fine. But on the other hand I think that keeping pieces you really love is no shame at all. Midcentury or even earlier pieces are great to have, they'll rise in value over time and maybe one of your kids might be interested in them later. Please don't get me wrong, the last thing I intend is to thwart your remarkable efforts, all I am saying is that it is ok to keep selected things if you want to. Even if you don't use them as props. Love from Europe

Your bedroom looks so much easier to navigate and function in now! Taking away the options you never reach for is really going to make what you do use shine. Maybe you'll find a bolt of cloth long enough during the seweing declutter to cover the shelves, that will take away some of the visual clutter since it's containers and not things that bring joy like the hats. You did so great here and should be very proud of yourself.

Hi Christina, What a super woman you are to be able to move furniture while pregnant!!! Thanks so much for the inspiration and encouragement to keep going... After I was widowed I had some sort of anxiety thing going on and started hoarding things that I thought I would not be able to afford in the future. There was a lot of stuff from the time I was married that I just shoved into the roof until I had the emotional energy to deal with... All my clutter would have engulfed me if I had not remarried a tidy with a talent for organisation and conglomeration of similar things. I would have been drowning by now without him. It's finally time to sort through the stuff that I shoved up in the roof when my 10 year old was less than a year old. Seeing you go through stuff which is much more beautiful than my poor newlywed guff and do okay helps me know that I am going to be able to do this... It's going to be okay and I will be happy to finally have done it and proud of myself for going through the process of release... My mum never could... She ended up with 3 households worth of stuff to sort through and gets paralysed by grief over the losses of loved ones that she is confronting when she sorts through this... she is still surrounded... Thanks for being a healthy role model for the brokenhearted out here who need to see others get through and out the other side of the emotional attachment and anxiety valley and reclaim a new path to health and happiness in life. I also noted your skin looks great in comparison to an older video of yours that I saw... Congrats there... I'm trying to get there too. One day. Again, I have to express: Thanks so much for the encouragement!

Loved this process. Thank you for taking me with you on your journey. I am on a similar journey as I have to clear out my parents house, the one I grew up in, and get it ready to sell. My mother had a tender heart, loved all things vintage, saved everything and organized nothing. I cry over losing her and the thought of really tackling this monumental burden has me depressed and anxious. Your sensitive approach has made an impression on me and I enjoyed seeing you work through it and reach the place where your bedroom is now a haven filled with the items that make you happy. Breathe peace in your beautiful place.

Doom closet is looking good!!!! I’m currently decluttering for a downsized move. One of your other videos talked about a built in afternoon break. I love that. Build in time for violin practice! That should help with the pointless guilt
