Drew, as a professionally practicing architect i have to say this is by far the best room you've transformed just because this style is no joke! It is so easy to go overboard, too kitsch, too feminine, too staged, too shabby chic, too moody even for a small space to easily look overwhelming over time (for the modern french look) but you took each of those nuances and achieved a balance unparalled to any of your previous videos! I really think you deserve to give yourself a big pat on the back for this one! The other thing i loved is that even if you designed around a narrative, few years down the line that narrative won't look like another trend that was hopped on and passed by. It is still timeless in a way and very mature in its execution ❤❤❤

It would’ve been cool to DIY those mirrored nightstands to have that old tarnished glass look (I think Mr.Kate did this once) and then spray paint them gold for that Parisian look. Then the mirror wouldn’t reflect the carpet as much and would stand out more. Overall stunning room! 💜

Could have maybe used the same moldings on the wall to put in the drawers of the dresser to give it more of the look you were looking for. Beautiful! As always. If you wanna “ tone” down the mirror night stands, try faux frosted or etched contact paper. I suggest only on the front drawers, but buy enough for all of it, in case just the fronts looks wonky🤪

I Love the walls, dresser with the glass knobs, the beds, the curtains and the assessories. It seemed to me it needed a white pillow or white throw on the bed and a large ceramic container in white and blue for the tree/plant. Oh, I loved the light fixtures and rug. Very good results. Nice room Marie, I like my bedroom on the dark side as well. One thing, the bed frame is lost in all that's going on, no impact. If the drawers on the night tables are too reflective, don't get rid of them. Just paint them black or gold, you can remove it with a blade later, if needed.

Happy Birthday Drew! My birthday was the 25th. BEST MAKEOVER EVER!!! All of your makeovers are fantastic, but this one was extra special. The walls, molding, bench, bed, bedding, pictures, light fixture.....I LOVED all of it! And, it's not even my style! I normally like minimalist Scandinavian style. The room looks like a beautiful dream, and Marie is super lucky to have you as a roommate and friend.
