I second this and feel like if Becky had time and/or the resources she would def have done this - I’d have maybe not tried to blend it into the wall so much tho? Maybe a brown or a darker green or even a black would work.

I would've also painted the trim around the door pale green, so it matches the closet. I know it's currently matching the baseboards, but it seems kinda off, at least to me 🤔Anyways, just small details, the overall result is *chef's kiss*!

It's beautiful 💖. And Thank You for recovering the headboard, the cooler gray with all those warm tones was making my eyes twitch 😂. @@christafranken9170 It depends on how smooth the stick is &/or what kind of hanging hooks/clips you use. But I've also used them on curtains I didn't plan on opening (bathroom).

I'm always impressed when any of the girls works on a solo project and actually quit working on a space. 🤣 Once I'm in the middle of a project, I wanna keep working and typically do until I must quit or fall asleep standing. 😂 I paused the video as Becky was talking about the awkward nook... That's the perfect spot for a luggage rack, or in a normal, every day bedroom, I always need a spot to lay down clothing. For example, I change into my workout clothes after work (🤔) then I change into my lounge clothes. 99% of the time, the clothing I change from end up in a pile on my dogs crate. That nook is perfect for that.

The nook could be a small desk nook! You can do your makeup there, or if you brought some work, you got a place to put stuff, some wine and snacks. Or you could make it a mini bar area? With a small fridge on the bottom and a bench top and a shelf above for snacks and glasses. Another easy option could be a coat hanger, where you can hand wet towels from the lake, a cozy cardigan for late night campfires etc. Just my two cents! Now I'm gonna keep watching 😁

I have a very old school Bohemian decorated home. Ethnic, colorful, well traveled vibe. However, I have a couple of framed prints that always hung in my childhood home that have great sentimental value to me. I have those in my bedroom. One is a beautiful floral still life print from the 1800s and the other is a farm scene with a red barn in it. I have struggled to create a nice flow from the rest of the home to my bedroom. Anyway, your challenge to pull all that together successfully somehow reminds me of mine. I absolutely love the results of people using what they truly love and coming up with a style that's all their own. Hope this makes sense. It's special and unique and it shows. Well done.

Becky I love, love, love this cozy, inside/ outside bedroom. I see peaceful sleep, with cozy lazy mornings for cuddling. You knocked it out of the park. In fact this one is now one all time favorite rooms. I live in a redwood forest in Santa Cruz county (city of Felton) CA. In 1953 my dad and Grandpa built our very rustic inside & out redwood cabin, which sits to perfectly in our own redwood forest. However, because all the walls & ceiling are a beautiful tongue & grove finished bare redwood. All my dad did was to apply a very light muted colored stain, almost a wash, on the walls. He choose grey, green & natural, depending on the room. It's hard to describe, but the effect is very subtle. It adds some dimension without variance without being loud or take away from our outdoors. However, styling can be challenging. I wish The Sorry Girls was in California, I could sure use your help.

I like this room. For that odd little recessed corner, I would have liked to add some custom built wooden shelving (for books and knick-knacks) made out of live edge wood to match - and tie in with - your bed's side tables. Then I would have found a vintage wooden stool to put in front of the shelves (but off to the right side a bit). That stool could be where you threw a little granny-style throw blanket, or had an artful stack of books, or a little table lamp.
