Hi John. I love your take on fishing. I too was a creek explorer, and that excitement is still in me. My dad and I would drive until we came to a bridge, park and explore with UL tackle. What fun. There is adventure everywhere. Thanks for a fun inviting channel. Paul

Those redbreast belong in an aquarium some where, I'm surprised you don't run into more snakes stepping over those downed trees like that. Another good video, got my son and coworkers watching, they want to form a creek club and start hitting the creeks lol

I highly recommend learning how to flyfish. Between the spin ultralight and 3wt flyrod on small creeks like this, opens a whole new world. There's a learning curve for sure but well worth the time. Thanks for these great videos, brings back nice memories.

DUDE.. Y'all hit the jackpot!!! I've never seen so many fish in one little spot. Makes me sorry that I live up North. I LOVE eating Sunny, Blue Gill, Red Breasts, Calico. They have the greatest taste when you fillet them and pan fry them with Corn meal breading. Thanks for taking us along. God bless: Dave

I love small creek and stream fishing. I also truly appreciate someone who is not a trophy bass fisherman, but prefers finding those intimate hidden honey holes and spots that no one ever visits. The solitude and the unexpected bonanza of feisty fish caught on lightweight gear is something I have loved all my life. It's nice to know someone else thinks like I do. The only problem is, he is a much better fisherman than I am. I'm at once jealous, envious and disappointed that I'm not there to experience what he does everyday. Not fair!

I lived in Hoptown for awhile, while stationed at Ft Campbell.I fished that creek quite a bit. I once caught a white crappie over by the library. That creek is a panfish magnet, for some reason the fish never get much size to them, but with ultra light tackle, you can definitely have a blast.

I hear that train, railroad tracks = fish most of the time. Along with back roads. Drag that gar out on the bank. It's very strong fish. Good gloves help. Welding glove is not a bad thing to have in your bag if you know there are gar, muskie, even pike. I normally carried a mechanic style glove. a baby raccoon can't bite through a welding glove.
