Or she could get a job and not be a slave to groceries. I’m not saying she doesn’t have good intentions, but none of these couponers ever stop. They stockpile. Sometimes they donate. But mostly they have at least one mental illness. Couponing is fine. Couponing as a job is ridiculous, imo. If she found a job making even 25k a year she could afford far more than this. Let’s stop pretending these people are heroes and realize that they’re covering up the real problems in their lives

If I'm in any store (other than the one I work in) longer than 20 minutes I've probably died in there. Or someone else insisted on going in there with me and they want to linger (while I'm internally getting fustrated with them lol) I go in with a specific plan, get those items, go to a self checkout, ring it up, bag it, and leave. Lingering inside stores in my free time isn't for me. I'm not sure why it's a thing with other people. Lol.

I am reading comments and thinking to myself. Did anyone say she bought 200 newspapers on the weekends?? The only papers I know that have coupons are Sundays and they cost $3.50 a piece on Sundays around here so 200x $3.50 makes that $700.00’s. Now dont get me wrong she only paid $35.78 at the store but the time it took to cut out the coupons and shop as well as buy the papers how much did she actually save??

Plus people dumpster dive for coupons from Sunday papers, other people know she does it so they give them to her, and you can get free ones online, you can also call companies and ask for free coupons, there are groups / clubs online for them. .and dont forget those coupon packs they stick in everyone's gates. sometimes you get mor than one,and some neighbors will give you theirs. So many ways.

I wonder why you think it's "sickening?" She has a family--all the more reason why she should be saving where she can. Responsibility--looking at and exploring all of her options. People encourage the most irresponsible of us to have children and families, but when someone that ACTUALLY has the right ideas about finances when it comes to providing, they are labeled "sick." Make it make sense.
