I use to coupon heavy like this when I was in high school. My parents could barely make ends meet and we never really had the basic necessities. Learned how to do this through KZbin, Instagram and just plain old google. I was able to help lower my families monthly expenses, pay for my high school dances/proms/events, donate a bunch to my church, family and friends and I was able to make sure we had the basic stuff. It was great also when I would be able to coupon our food for the month too. Sure it takes a lot of time and effort, but if the need is there it’s worth it. Also I still coupon to this day. I may not coupon as much as I use to (I cut coupons during my lunch break in HS), but I still look and use them when grocery shopping for the week. We shop clearance items as well for expensive things like meat. Couponing really has saved me a lot of money and I can use it towards something else. See I was doing the math on that too!!! I want to know how she covered the sports drinks. I am a couponer myself, and the only thing I can think of is the toothpaste coupon doubled and the store she is shopping at allows overage, which would have been .50 each toothpaste. They didn't show it, but I wish they would have. Personally, if the toothpaste coupon was overage then of course I would have bought as many as I could have, (donating most of them) but I would have used the overage for items I can't coupon for, like meat, fresh fruit and veggies.
@tylerplueddemann71403 жыл бұрын
@@tamilamperez4259 that’s what I was referring to was the sports drinks... and to your point of doubling that would be overage but many stores don’t do overages
@tamilamperez42593 жыл бұрын
@@tylerplueddemann7140 oh I know most stores don't allow overage. If they did I would be a very happy couponer! Lol

What they dont tell u... is what ur saving in whole sale. Your paying in newspapers to stock up, and gas to get to the various stores, so ultimately it probably evens out. Plus in some states they make sure you cant double coupons etc, and if it wasnt for the tv camera a lot of people would have lost out on their order because what person would serve one customer for 2+ hrs. Seriously!

The problem with this show is that nobody is going by the store's coupon policy or the limitations that may be stated on the coupon. Let us see real couponing following all the stores' policies and the fine print on the coupon. Then see what happens

Where I am from on the West Coast they have a lot of rules in the shops about coupons. most shops are only allowed to take a certain number of items if they're on sale and they only allow 3 of .each item that has a coupon. there's a lot of rules it's not like you see on these shows
