i like where you're going with this. The old zen 2 vs 9900k 5ghz video was classic! I'd love to see another showdown

Nomnomnomnom :) keep em coming :) Would be cool to see an octacore RL(just to see if the 2MB larger l3$ helps a bit vs the anaemic 12MB) vs the 5950x in game mode.

@@MakeSh00t With the probably I meant that the difference of the 5600X is very small vs the 5950X, Zen3 is an amazing architecture, now is ahead almost everywhere, especially for high fps games

I dont understand one thing here, so if you dont mind pls elaborate...WoW is AMD sponsored title..why dont you test it with 6800 XT or 6900 XT...and after all this testing you did in past is 3080 better then 6800 XT for 1440p 165hz monitor ? Im making myself new pc, and as most of people missing only GPU :)
@HardwareNumb3rs3 жыл бұрын
My favorite build for WoW so far is the 5800X and the 6800XT, since I play with a 4K 144Hz display and is just perfect for that, this 3090 Kingpin is overkill even for 4K in WoW, but this video is about having fun and that is why I used this card. If you are looking for a new GPU this is really the worst moment... what is your current GPU?
@yordlerin76283 жыл бұрын
@@HardwareNumb3rs Ok, pc im using right now is oooold..is i5 3350p (4c/4t), and msi gtx 660 twin frozr III, over last half year i gather part by part for new pc..have everything sept GPU..got 5800x cpu, 32gb 3600mhz CL16-19-19-39, got dell 1440p 165hz monitor...i play WoW in like 80% of time, apex legends on a side and wanna play warzone...cant play it right now.. so i dont know what GPU to aim 3080 or 6800 XT, but i must say more benchmark i watch, 6700 XT looks rly good for this monitor and to max out fps for 165hz...what do you think about it...it would be great to hear your opinion, have in mind that i dont plan to change my component long period of time and i dont care about ray tracing a single bit

@@yordlerin7628 Yes, for your display the 6700XT is a great card, you can check AMD website in case you manage to get one there at MSRP, it will be a killer deal and upgrade

Hello, first very interesting video ! I had a question on the 5950x could you have pushed the frequency higher when you had 1 ccd and smt off ? Would it have given you more headroom ? Thank you
@HardwareNumb3rs3 жыл бұрын
That depends by the silicon quality of the CCDs, in this case this CPU is particularly lucky on both CCDs and they have the same overclock potential, in some samples CCD 1 is better in some others CCD 2 is the best one, also 5.4 is a very nice frequency, this chip can do 6GHz at LN2 and is also ne of the fastest around

Hmm this amd processor is 650 usd more than the intel 11600k and even more than kf version in my country. Don't go with a fanboy mentality. Im glad that they are jabbing each other and that's good for us the consumers. Amd is for productivity and Intel for gaming.

Why to buy intel anyway i still do not understand.. Spending on same class cpu since 3 years ? Less cores MORE TDP more heat ? TRY CS GO TRY OPTIMIZED GAME FOR INTEL AND AMD OR OPTIMIZED FOR AMD.. intel very behind like 30 percent?

@HardwareNumb3rs3 жыл бұрын
I wasn't so sure about that, Zen have a bottleneck in the fabric, and going down with temperature I must reduce the flck clock, the little one have still a lot to say in this fight ;)

@@HardwareNumb3rs I think you misunderstood my comment to mr @blingblingbandido I know the ccx to ccx latency matters, it was the other commenter that said it doesn't because the game only uses 2 cores. but that's neither here nor there. would have rather seen a 5600x or 5800x comparison.
