Add a metal exhaust elbow on the muffler and aim it at the ground, it will save the truck tailgate from heat and keep rain out.

just put a small bend of pipe on the exhaust to angle it elsewhere . cool set up good stuff!!

You can get flexible exhaust hose which we used on generators, it comes in various diameters so you should be able to get on to fit it to the frame and take it all the way to the ground.

Great looking box. You should place a piece of diamond plate or aluminum on the door where the debris hits. Could save a later headache. Love it!

That exhaust should be aimed away from your truck, if you go up remember to put a flap to keep water out.

Don’t hit low underpasses. What is the weight empty? Might need a bigger truck.

The truck should be fine, it has a toeing capacity of around 9600. It is fairly front heavy, but the wood leaf box offsets the weight a bit more towards the back. As long as the box and leaves weigh less than 5000lbd combined it should be fine to lift it. For sure we will have to watch for those lower in-town bridges, anything under 12' would probably be a no go, but any standard bridge not marked as being low would be fine.
