of commercial stone crab fishing and harvest some delicious Florida Stone crab claws! The weather was extremely rough with a small craft advisory and winds gusting to 35 miles an hour. The waves were so big crashing over the boat that we ruined a microphone and a go pro camera with water damage.
The Florida stone crab season is open, and everyone is headed out on the first weekend to harvest the delicious stone crab.
Whether you are recreational fishing for stone crab or commercial fishing, Florida stone crab fishing is a very sustainable seafood because only the stone crab claws are harvested because the crabs can regenerate their claws.

It was a really bad day. Unfortunately the crab season crossed over our winter in Florida so we have to battle rough seas on a weekly basis to pull the traps.
