Hi Alexis. May I interject...or suggest... I am 75. Luxury brands are not necessary or essential for a good look. Plz try the over the counter makeups, shadows, etc, Nikol suggests in her videos. Even the drug store cleansing items. Trial n error to find wht you like. Also weather has an affect. Better than paying luxury prices for smthg tht didnt work. I hv 1 or 2 luxury items like Nikol's eye primer. N a QVC face primer. Just keep in mind moisturizination and skin conditioning. The you for reading. Hope I didn't overstep Nikol n Alexis.

I am 73 years old and I never had to wear foundation because I was lucky enough to have a good completion. Now I have uneven skin color (some age spots). After watching this video last night, I went and bought the products that were recommended. I love how it evened out my skin tone. Thank yo!

My favorite drugstore mascara (which typically beats out my higher end mascaras) is the L'Oreal Lash Paradise. It's amazing. If you haven't tried it, I would definitely give it a go! Love your videos. I'm only 35 but I have a lot of trouble finding skincare products that won't break me out. So these are nice tutorials to watch.

I love L’Oreal make up. It doesn’t change color or break my skin out. I don’t use waterproof mascara either and this brand does not “melt” off my lashes. Stick with what works for you!

Great video! I've been using L'oréal primer for about 5 yrs...love it. It really coats my lashes nicely without clumping. It's also a protectant, I think, but I use the mascara almost right away. That works for me.

I love the Loreal eye lash primer, and you can also get the two piece set where it comes with the mascara, and that is my go to.

Yet I like your thinking I just have a very "Anita Loos“ nature; I would have been Lorelie‘s best friend Dorothy! (See; Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (But They Marry Brunettes!)) marvelous read so a reddish brunette I seem to be! Herbatint so healthy for your hair and no fumes! Leaves hair shiny and full blondes or white haired women can happily use it as well to pop your color! Mother looked so cute, all salt and pepper! This is one of your best! 26:18 Tangee had a color change lipstick 60 years ago and I'm glad more options are coming out. This look is great for all ages. I would like to see a look with the c eam eyeshadows.

I’m really watching how you’re doing the under eye concealer and digging through my brush collection, lol. In my mom’s side of the family we all have/had crazy dark circles, all the way back to my great-grandmother. It’s like we don’t have that bit of padding under the eyes. Concealer wasn’t such an issue before the fine lines developed, but now it’s a real challenge to balance coverage with not emphasizing the lines.

PVANPELT, now that I have some lines under my eyes, I dont use concealer there at all except in inner corner, going downwards a bit. . I feel like concealer only draws attention to the lines! 😵😲🤗🌝

I did want to let you know that Joah Perfect Complexion BB Creme is truly excellent and I am so happy with my purchase. My CVS didn't carry the serum based foundation by Joah that you profiled in a previous video so I was reluctant to try this initially. I LOVE the effect it has on my skin and would recommend it to anyone. I do use the BB Creme in two colors, Ivory and Nude, and a very little amount goes a long way. Wanted to share...have a great day!

I know you did this a year ago, so I'm late to the game here...but I just LOVE these suggestions! 51 with 5 married kids and 14 grands...I love makeup but am finding the process to be a little more laborious these days. Most of the products you used here I have not tried!! So hopefully they're still on the market...Amazon is a good source, especially these days, for products we can't find in stores. I have cool blonde hair, and I ALWAYS take a wet washcloth and get any makeup I got on my roots off. Works great! I also like that you went light on the bronzer - I am finding that I'm needing less bronzer and more blush because bronzer seems to make me look older for some reason. This lip product seems pretty cool!! Anyway, thanks so much! Fantastic info!!!

I loved this tutorial - very fun! I tend to buy premium products (such as your line), but have been using L'oreal eyelash primer and Voluminous Butterfly mascara for years. I've never seen a professional makeup artist use the eyelash primer before and have always wondered why. Your eyelashes look beautiful - and really the overall look is beautiful, as well. The base was it JOIA is everything you can tell right away after you put it on. I love that you don’t have to have everything just perfect when you buy your finds. It’s so much more realistic to what we all do buy it if it doesn’t work we’ve tried it but we either rebuy or ditch it. Ive tried that neutrogena mascaras and found it dry like yesterdays toast but I do love their foundation thats hydrating (the regular hydrating formula in round bottle with silver top) its very moisturizing I just wish they had a wider range of colors I have to custom mix it. It’s a back up foundation for me

Nikol you are one of my favorite people I never met: I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack and I I have a rescue cat and a Peke who thinks she is a great dane which is fine ... the one thing I still haven't figured out is my eyes. I did use some help to get my Dad's eyebrows back but franklly I follow your great advice about eyelashes etc and no-one thinks I am 65 which is a state of mind ... but honestly I do follow the French; skin care and less is more. And yes like you I am am an optimist and would like to spread good will around whenever possible.

Great video! I have used the Maybelline brow tattoo, and it’s good. My brows are black, my hair is dark brown and gray. I prefer Bella Brow because they have a dark gray color. Black brows look too stark; dark brown isn’t right either. If you want something in between, go with Bella brow. Ladies!! It takes a very light stroke! I feel like I’ve just gotten the hang of it…after a few years!! I keep a micellar water and q tips on my vanity for brow over-do!

Hi Nikol! Thank you for a great video. I've never even heard of some of the products you've covered in this video. I will be purchasing some of them. I have very oily skin and have adult acne, so I have to be careful of what products I use and use mostly Neutrogena. I use the Hydro Boost concealer in the bullet. It has a core of moisturizer that feels so good under my eyes. It's the only place on my face that has dry skin! When I set it with a fine powder, I don't have issues with creasing. Love it! The Hydro Boost unscented face moisturizer is wonderful as well. Again, thank you for a great video and the products you showcased.

Peaches skin care on KZbin has advise about acne. Lisa has home / drugstore/ kitchen products you can use OR the products she makes. Awesome either way. Also helps tremendously to get off dairy products (KZbin PCRM with Dr Neil Barnard)

I’ve got those lips too! I always thought it’s because they’re nearly the same shade as my skin but very cool-toned, so nudes go flat no matter what their base tone is and dark shades just pick up the cool and get magnified.

Thank you for doing this drug store make up application. I have just retired and although I still have Champagne taste, I only work part time during tax season, so my wallet has beer purchasing power. :-) The Vermont Country Store has always had this product called Tangee, which is suppose to change color to suit your coloring. I have never tried it, but it looks intriguing. Love you! You look gorgeous with this drug store make up. So many products I would love to try. Thanks again.

I have very silver gray hair along my hair line and always get makeup on the hair in those places. Ugh! I use a tissue and softly rub the foundation out before it dries. Sometimes, and especially if I am in a hurry, I don't do it until after I've applied my face powder. In that case, I use a hardly damp paper tower and being very careful with a light hand, wipe the makeup off the hair without going past the roots. Hopefully, Nikol or someone else will have a better tip for us!
