Even though your- "reasonable priced" is a high price for one on Social Security, I still love watching you and how you want to make women of all ages feel good about themselves. I did not start caring for my skin until last August, at age 78. Since I have been following you and a couple of other youtubers I have become more content with myself. When your 53 yr old son tells one of his sisters that "mom look a lot better since she started caring about her skin and makeup" you know you must be doing something right. Thank you once again for being here for women such as me. God bless and doing your thing.

You might enjoy the "Drugstore Maven's" channel. She is young, so doesn't concentrate on anti-aging. However, her reviews of drugstore makeup can't be beat. There are so many beautiful, high-quality cosmetics at the drugstore nowadays.

I’ve always loved makeup, and I buy it in all price ranges. Certain things I think you need to spend more money on, like eyeshadow and lip and eye pencil liners….but I think there are some great products that can be found at drugstore prices. Revlon Candid and L’Oréal infallible are great foundations/powders. But my greatest discovery of the past few years is EltaMD SPF tinted moisturizer. Around $30 for a big tube, but awesome for older skin, worth every penny.
@violetfem18082 жыл бұрын
@@geslinam9703 To me the higher end needs to be mascara.. most everything else is matched well by drugstore
@geslinam97032 жыл бұрын
@@violetfem1808 I like some drugstore mascaras…but you are probably right. When I want really amazing lashes, I usually reach for my Urban Decay Perversion. Though not all high end mascara is great either, I’ve spent a lot of money on some major disappointments, even from luxury brands. I will say, though, I’m on my third tube of Covergirl Lash Blast primer. You don’t get a lot of product in the tube, but for the price, it is pretty decent. I have a lot of foundations, and really can’t tell the difference between high end and drugstore. My favorite is the Revlon Candid liquid foundation. I don’t know why I keep buying high end in that area. I have Chanel foundations that don’t compare.

I would also like to mention that often when we ‘bulk purchase’ items, and don’t use them right away, they go bad! Miss Nikol.. : I have been a Subscriber for some time....and I felt tears as I listened, and watched you stating this : " It's an Inside Job ..." that is a great Quote , and what a Truth as well. It's ok to go off on a " tangent "... that is the Universe, allowing you to impart that passion, that wisdom that is part of your Authentic Self, and I believe we need more of that in this day and time. I'm in my late 60's, I have days ( not many ,but we all have them) that I don't feel " like myself, like the woman I was a few years ago "...So I want to Thank You , for how you Encourage, Inspire and remind us that we DO need to " have fun , not be ' perfect ', and remember that it is indeed , " An Inside Job..." . I always tell women, - even if they are a stranger to me - that I like thier look, how beautiful they look, or if they have great hair, a lovelyensemble... whatever it is .... we need to do that, to uplift one another ....not be in " competition ". Blessings and Abundance ~

I'm 48 and have just learned how to do eyeliner so that it is more flattering. I line the upper lid very close to the lashes, but I do not go all the way in to the inner corner. For under the eye, I use a much lighter color and only apply to outer 1/3 to 1/2 way. I also make an upward slanted wing using an eye shadow because it's easier to make the shape with a stiff little angled brush than with an eyeliner.

I so love your heart ❤️. Your words of encouragement to the ladies are great. I appreciate the products you research for us. I always trust your advice and have purchased a lot of products due to your honesty. Thank you. Your vit. E stick is so good on my lips before applying lip liner and lipsticks.

Brilliant video - timing couldn't be better as I needed the subtle pep talk to harness the confidence I've neglected.

Less is more ! I’m washing my face with your video right now. Thank you for teaching how to use eye primer , never understood its purpose, it’s sitting in my drawer- but now I feel ready to change my eye game- fun! Thank you!

I have enjoyed watching your tutorials. Every now and then, I am reminded about what my dermatologist said about skin products. She said that the big companies absolutely care about how the products perform. I'm sure the smaller, more expensive companies care too but my doctor just felt the consumer may get more bang for your buck with some of the larger, less expensive brands. Interesting thought.

Nikol, this was such a special tutorial, I so needed to hear each and every word. We are so bombarded with sad sad things happening in South Africa, that just being able to nurture, care and having control over how I choose to feel are powerful. I agree with you 100%, when you feel good about yourself, you are sharing those vibes with all around you and encouraging ladies to also put some energy into looking beautiful. Cannot wait for your products to become available in South Africa, I'll be the first buyer of your eye primer - the one I'm using is not doing it for me. Lots of caring wishes and blessings.

Hot breath!! Yes. Exactly. I moved to S. Florida full time about 3-4 years ago. My skin loves the humidity but my hair!!! 😑 it’s a frizzy, poofy nightmare, the silver doesn’t help and I don’t want to get it straightened. Any suggestions are welcome!

HAZEL mentioned you in a recent email article entitled Women Who Inspire Us! You should have def mentioned about your Sephora application - I am on no other social media except for YT - so I miss anything mentioned on TikTok, IG, Twitter, etc. Look forward to the new things coming up - Happy weekend!!
