I agree on the volatility. I got some ridiculously good items and abilities on my third run and it's made encounters so much more manageable. Still challenging, however. And the enemies get satisfyingly more complex as you go.

Wouldn't really be one game as I don't stick to anything for very long. So the answer would just be Let's Try but people watched things that weren't roguelikes too.
