If you’re thinking about going to the river, the flathead, channel, and other species of catfish are in post spawn and are feeding really well in calmer pools. I’ve been hitting them pretty good on live bluegills 2”-4” that’s ive caught on the bank earlier in the day. I’m located in SW PA. I’ve been fishing the cheat river (lake Lynn hydro dam) and pools in the monongahela.

Idk why people call creeks like that small. Here in Washington. We have a crap tone of creeks that are 3 foot wide AT MAX until they meet their lake/river. Still has a lot of nice, beautiful chrowt, and bazz
@johnortmann30984 жыл бұрын
Here in Nebraska, most of the "creeks" don't have any actual water in them except after cloudbursts.
@dannywalker68724 жыл бұрын
@@johnortmann3098 yeah, it's kinda annoying hearing people call what I would call a massive creek, or even a decent river a small creek
@jordanyang30664 жыл бұрын
always a smaller or bigger creek. both are not wrong.
@extremephillyfishing4 жыл бұрын
That's because size is relative, Danny. The sizes and depths of Creeks change from state to state, and of course country to country. It is similar to the sizes of fish -- it may be big for some, and yet very small for others. And vice versa. Remember: for sizes, you always need "something" for comparison. Thus, relative.
@dannywalker68724 жыл бұрын
@@extremephillyfishing dammmmmmmn he responded to my comment. Yeah, I agree lmaooo. All of the creeks near my house are salmon stream, which feels really weird because they're super shallow, and skinny. It truly is a sight to go around and look at the 9,999,999 creeks around my area coming out of my local river, and see all of the salmon coming up them. Tho that also means we have a lot of northern pikeminnow, and so we have to kill them often. Whenever I go fishing on the Sammamish river, no matter what I fish with, the nasty things always show they're faces

@extremephillyfishing4 жыл бұрын
To tell you the truth, the culture here in the USA goes as far as packed baits and boilies. I don't think people use luncheon meats and stuff like that for the Carp. Maybe for the Catfish. Heh.

The problem with night time fishing is mainly the filming and the lurking dangers. First, you need many sources of light to make the footage look good. And those sources of light attract attention. With three expensive cameras out there...? Let's say that I am not willing to get robbed out there. Lol. I would only do an overnight sesh and film if I knew that the place was safe or if I were in a group.

Nice carp fishing brother! I haven't hooked one in many years and that was on Wonder Bread white bread. One of the bad raps I've read about carp is they ruin the environment for other fish species.
@extremephillyfishing4 жыл бұрын
That is not necessarily true, Tom. I mean...first and foremost, it depends on the Species of Carp. And although the Common Carp is an invasive species of fish in the USA, it is not any "less invasive" or "less damaging" than any other invasives in the country. At the end of the day, it all depends on the type of environment where it was introduced to and the biomass X.
