A pair of Louisiana Air National Guard F-15 Eagles take off and perform awesome afterburner flybys during the Sunday airshow at EAA AirVenture 2018 in Oshkosh, WI. These jets were departing to their home base as NASJRB New Orleans.

@@robbiejk9613 ...Sure, That's why Raptors shoot down Eagles with a 10:1 kill ratio during training all the time. It's like clubbing baby seals. F-15 is a great plane, but the airframe really is old tech. The new EX has some much needed upgrades, but still can't touch the Raptor.

Very likely the last thing you want to see as it usually has no air to ground capabilities. There is the f15e which does have strike capabilities, but the plane was designed as an exclusively to hunt fighters. I guess all variants do have a machine gun they could use to strike ground targets.

I was at an airshow with my dad at Paine Field in Wa. The Thunderbirds were the with their F-4 Phantoms and it was the 1st. time we'd seen a real F-15. They did a standing start drag race between the F-15 and the F-4, The Eagle lifted staight up so upbrutly it scorched holes in the runway. When the Phantom lifted off, the Eagle was leveling out at 2000 ft. above the airfield . Best drag race we ever saw.

They had some of these in Cleveland and I saw them flying around as I drove through downtown. So freaking cool. Then I bought tickets to the airshow the next day and they got rained out. I was sad.

Loved to have been there and seen and heard these impressive f-15s as they did their flybys. One of our most important fighter Jets,which has had many years in service. Read recently that the Boeing Company has up-dated many of the F-15s in service with the latest Electronics and Weapon systems to make them Front line Fighters for the Air Force. Nation of Israel has many f-15s in their Air Force and they have modified them to meet their high standards and capability, all probably pretty classified stuff.

Jorge F the F-15C is the air Superiority fighter for the USAF and the F-15E is a ground attack version of the C

THEY SHOULD FLATTEN OUT THE F-15'S BOTTOM FOR REDUCED RCS AND TO MOUNT CONFORMAL FUEL TANKS OR OTHER DISPOSABLE CARGO, SENSOR/EW/ECM STUFF ON IT. FUTURE EXTERNAL TANKS AND WEAPONS PYLONS SHOULD OF ABS PLASTIC OR COMPOSITES, SO THE PILOT CAN SIMPLY JETTISON IT DURING A MISSION. HOLDING ONTO AN EMPTY TANK IS D.U.M.B.!
